  1. Yes, they are much improved. That's why everyone does it. It gets rid of the poor pedal from unadjusted rear brakes. Also, you no longer have the mud catching drums to worry about. It's a no brainer!

    Mud Tires?

There are many tire choices that measure 27". All you have to do is check with local tire stores. Schwab, discount, tire factory, even walmart have what you need. They can also convert metric sizes so you know what height your looking at. There have also been many posts regarding tires and sizes and trimming and such. The search function works well if you try it.
  3. Contact PK Davis @ www.ozified.com He will be able to give you all the details you need.

    rally crash video

Excellent footage. All looked painful though.
  5. Very cool. We have had the BC I-Club before but never any old schoolers.
  6. Will, put the nut back on. Only so the threads are covered. Take a couple of blows with your hands to the back side of the wheel and it should come off. If that doesn't work try a couple of light whacks with a hammer and a punch. This method requires two people though. One to pull up on the wheel and one to operate the hammer. Or, a steering wheel puller will do the trick in short order. Good luck!
  7. I will state this very plainly and simply. Alcohol will be allowed in the tent/camping areas(read, discreetly). It WILL NOT be allowed in any other area! Minors should not partake. We are not your parents nor will we take that responsibility for you. This is not a beer fest, it is a car enthusiasts get together. We know alcohol will be present as does the grounds keepers. But the first person I have to remind will be the lucky one, the second will not. BTW, Zap will probably be the good cop on this one! So, how it is stored and dispersed is up to you. We are not getting the additional insurance coverage for this. Let's try to keep it for evening festivities around a fire pit. Thanks
  8. Get ahold of Edrach. He has some yield and I am sure he would come spray some on there for you. He probably won't give up his can though. As stated earlier, it is expensive and hard to get without a business license. This the stuff that cardboard corragaters use to clean the stream presses and remove stubborn bolts from the equipment. It works better than anything else I have used in 28yrs of wrenching.
  9. The bumper is only about 10" off the ground. In stock form it is a bit close to the ground. I see many bumper covers get ripped off of the EA82 wagons. Lift it and forget about it. Or leave it stock and on the street.
  10. Nope, wasn't Ed. He called me telling me someone beat him to it.
  11. To clarify, the 90-94 auto non turbo Loyales were 3.90. Not all EA82's as stated above.
  12. Exact numbers I don't have. I think someone posted numbers on the old EZ board. But the wagons were the highest number then coupes and lastly Brats.
  13. Welded front diffs are great for straight forward driving. As long as you don't mind having the turning radius of a bus then go for it. It will cause the front to push/pull you in turns. I once saw a 4X truck with with a welded diff and he couldn't turn for squat. This was off road on the trail. I wouldn't do it personally but to each his own.
  14. Sounds like the t-stat is stuck or sticking in the open position. Howdy Mike. Good to see you're still around.
  15. Empty seats are unknown at this time. It will be a first come first seat arrangement. Unless someone speaks up to offer/verify an empty seat. BTW, we will be leaving at 10:00AM from our meeting destination. No questions asked and no excuses.
  16. Sorry, I never took any pics.
  17. A LSD rear diff does not change the characteristics of the drivetrain. You have to change the trans for the AWD feel.
  18. I would highly warn against this. An old member of our club ran these when he first joined us. They bend easily. Are generally too narrow for a "good" fit. SOA also warns against using these off pavement. On a comical note, they did looked funny as heck wobbling down the road.
  19. What did you set the firing order to? 1234, 1432, 1324, 4321? Before you just start moving the thing forward and backward. Pull #1 plug and find TDC compression. Then check the disty/rotor location. Make adjustments from there.
  20. I had to use a double on the top and a single gen1 joint on the bottom to get the right angles on mine. Plus a pillow block type bearing to keep it aligned.
  21. Sorry. But I haven't ever seen a worn out trailing arm bushing on an EA82. I've seen some of your video's. A bent part is a strong possibility,
