hey thanks i'll remember that . oh yeah and she was a wagon. sorry if i didn't specify. -
hey man i think you should have post this in the older generation of subarus forum.
-
sorry but everytime i think about this i feel bad. okay the bad news is that i just found out that there is one less GL in this world. what happen was that sub was involved in a serious accident in which the engine was hit too. now the saddest part for me is that i used it for parts and i actually was gonna buy it for parts and just discard the damaged body. now there's no sub there any more for me to use. poor guy who wreaked it because he did not know what he had ahold of. sorry about those bad news guys. I felt bad for that poor suby there lookin sadly @ me severly wounded and in pain. i know you would too! P.S that car wasn't mine though just to clear it up.

probally you're tranny is going out. maybe you should consider a new one but the problem is that if its an auto it cost a lot of $$$$$$$$$ . now thats scary to know. -
if you don't have an intermitent setting on your wiper switch and you have the four head lights then its a DL. but first do you have a passenger side rear view mirror?
-
wait the GLs are the ones with the halogen head lights and the DLs are the ones with the dual head lights on each side (2 square lights).
-
hmmm... i spootted an ea81 soob on the movie Independance day (ID4).I think it was a GL,GL-10,or DL wagon light blue. anyway watch the movie and play "Find the Subaru Now."
-

If they reproduced a EA82 car today
Buddy replied to torxxx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
look man. my opinion is that if they last long, you would pay it off in 5 years (depending if you lease one or buy it) still have a good car for like another 20 years (okay maybe not that long:lol: anyway,) and not worry about car payments for i don't know how long. it just depends on you. -

are those hard to find? and what are the inner DOJ's -
you could probaly run the tires of your choice but if you do it with out snow, you traction is gonna be very poor on the bone dry pavement or rain-soaked road.
-
i need help from any one who has don the 5-lug conversion because i'm doing it soon and i need to know what parts are best. here's a brief description of my car. 85' GL wagon 5-speed manual tranny D/R 4WD EA82 engine. everything stock. (except sucky stereo.)
-
do i need to remove the engine to replace my timing cover gaskets? because since the oil pump is there on the front of them and its crammed in there is it necessary or not?
-
i have the ea82 carburated engine in an 85' GL wagon
-
whoa thats ridiculous :-\ just to much. ( most expensive price i saw on this thread)
-
okay in about two week i'm changing all my gaskets on my suby due to an oil leak. any one of you guys know what parts i need and tools. (also doing the inner gaskets.) who has had any past experience with this type of work? i need advice before i put my hands to work.i don't wanna mess my engine up due to spare parts
-
but i have two problems. (1) i don't have a dealer in the area and (2) i don't know if the ignition has been changed. (p.s. what do you mean by,"if you got a key at all then they will just cut it for you?")
-
hey you guys i just wanted to know if i can get replacement keys for my 85' GL i got the key number on the warranty booklet and i would like to know if the dealer can still make the keys for me now with the key # i have. ( just wanna show off my pride! )
-
hey thanks man. i'll ckeck that out and do my research on where to find the parts that are needed. i'm also doing the 5 lug conversion. what parts do you recommend? XT6 parts or legacy/impreza parts
-

-
