hey is it possible to swap GL-10 seats including rear seats into my GL? i'm mainly concerned about the rear seats because i know that the front seats will fit no problem!!! if its possible is there any mods that i need to do in the back for the seats to fit? the reason i'm asking is because i want headrests in the back seat of my GL which doesnt have any rite now and i have access to a GL-10 parts car. would really appreciate any help Buddy

i ended up keeping it heck i actually have 2 now the light blue 85' GL wagon and a gray 86' GL-10 wagon. all the people that hated me for it now love my blue suby. the blue one is in mint condition always shiny when i wash him.

you know what the exact same thing happened to me with my GL-10 as a matter of fact it cracked in the exact same place as Rocky. hehe kinda freaky. i was thinking its inside pressure but i don't really know. anybody take a guess?

mmm....donuts anyway i rotated the rear tire to the front and put the spare on the back on saturday afternoon and drove the car and its driving straight and no problems actually when the spare was up front everytime i accelerated the car would pull to that side and while driving at a steady speed it would occasionally pull but now that the regular tire is up front that has stopped. i'll still keep this thread updated. i just had a similar problem wit my GL-10 what i did was i went to the junkyard and picked up a caliper from an 89' DL wagon for about 18.00 bucks just letting u know this other option if time is wat u dont have to keep the car sitting but if u do a rebuild is also a good idea

can u notice by looking at it because i took a look at it and it looks fine

well its been bout 3 days since it happened the car is just fine the only question i have is that is the car gonna feel funny with the spare tire on? just wanna know thanks Buddy

hmm...i've had my GL-10 up to 80-85 and no red light or such.

well i forgot to say that i was going about between 5-10 mph so i was not going that fast i had my dad take a look at the car and he says everything is fine he drove it also after properly airing up the spare and the car drove straight and noise free. it doesnt drift to the side and like Tim said above looks like the tire took the sacrifice for the suspension. the wheel just got scraped no bending or anything. i'll keep this thread updated. i have to go rite now or i'll be late for class Buddy

i drove it back home on the spare. i did not hear any squeaking at that moment. like i said i checked it out before mounting the spare tire on and everything looked ok. btw just before i hit the curb a nice brown GL wagon turned left headed in the opposite direction. anyway back on topic i'm gonna get the tire replaced and put it back on and drive it with the regular tire on. i'll post the results when i finish. man this morning on the way to school i was trying to turn left at an intersection with no arrow just yield. well to make a long story short the cars coming from the other direction did not let me turn so when it was clear i started to turn but i was watching another car that was coming and while doing that i hit the curb really hard. hard enough to put a quarter sized hole in my tire on the sidewall. it was my 85' GL wagon. i changed the tire after pulling to get it back home. rite now i'm driving my mom's Chevrolet Cobalt. is there anything to check bcuz i checked it really quick and did not find any damage. rite now i'm in the college library. hey let me know what i need to check please i would really appreciate it. as for the hp issue i think that you dont need massive amounts of hp to go fast you just need a good strong engine to do that. take my 85' GL wagon 82hp N/A engine and that car can really move. yes it takes a few seconds more to get up to speed but it moves. the GL is manual but i'm pretty sure that the auto tranny ones can do very well too. that they will make it to 130? i dont think so but that they will reach over 100? most likely.

funny cuz the other day while trying to start my GL-10 while jump starting it when the starter bucked and the engine jumped the digi dash went crazy and the speedometer went up to 299 while it was going crazy.

my 85' GL manual tranny up to the red line and the valves did not float or anything. the engine just sounded strong and fierce. vrroooooom!!!!! my 86' GL-10 about 4500 on the digi dash with the turbo light flickering and about 3100 with the turbo light on steady while taking off from a dead stop. man these turbos have some serious balls.

i forgot to mention that its rust free does that make a difference?

hey all i found a nice 93 Loyale wagon for sale in San Jose its actually at Sunnyvale Toyota. they are asking $2992 for it heres the details 111,000 mi power windows power locks auto tranny 4WD:banana: wagon!!!! white am/fm cassette very clean looking the reason i'm asking is because i want to know if its worth getting it at a big dealer such as Toyota. and do you guys think its worth the 90min drive to go see it in person. your help would be appreciated. how bout the styling i hate how the rear of the car looks the front end i can live with it but the back i just horrible. and what do you think bout the performance let me know you opinions.

since my mom has a cobalt the thing i hate the most is the rear seat backs they are to straight and they hurt your back on long trips the only cool thing is the audio system thats it. btw my mom's is an 06' and i'm telling you that its just a piece of crap. i mean you cant notice it cuz they're still new just wait a few more years or miles. keep the opinions coming.

hey i was wondering wat you guy think of the Cobalt. i think its just another piece of crap built by GM. cheap inside materials and stuff like that. if you have driven one i would like to hear from you. later!!!

also it needs a full body kit and it needs to be lowered

bout 2 weeks ago i went to warm him up and to my surprise the idiot lite was off no where to be found the things i did to it before taking it were the spark plugs, fuel filter and thats just about it. it does have an exhaust leak. i have never changed the plug wires. something that happens is that when i raise the RPMs while its parked is that it has a clunk before the engine accelerates. its idling then i press the gas pedal and it goes clunk vroom. what can that be?

where are u in cali i'm in stockton and if you come up i-5 it will take you straight through the city. if you are in the Redding area never mind if not i'm on the way anything let me know i need to learn to read first but still hope everything goes okay for you
