Ask mudrat how he did it

should have gone 14" wheels, not 15", they have a slightly smaller dia i believe. you could always cut & re-weld the preches... be sure not to boil the oil in the struts though. None ever said making an impreza offroad worthy would be easy But i'm tellin' yah.. if you're going to go hard core, you're going to need someone who can weld.. .and who you trust to hack your car apart when i finally get the bmw together & running again, i think i'm going to bring the spring perches up an inch or so. Find someone who's really good w/ a Tig welder, and it'll be beautiful. It's easy w/ a Mig too, but alot easier to boil the oil. the clunking in the rear: get some large washers for the struts

Hot glue aye... i'll have to get some of that I perfer the 250amp tig welder.. but i suppose hot glue could work for some things too Oh yeah: My computer is searching for all the image files on it, around the date of that post, hopefully it'll find something... tonight.. or tomorrow.. depends which harddrives it descides want to play tonight...

I had this problem once, and posted a rather in-depth description about how to fix it.. with pictures... If it's an auto, there's a key lock switch, and a slot w/ a pin in it.. if the pin falls out, the switch can't be thrown... and your key gets stuck in there . Try searching for that... but if you can't find it... take apart your dash. where the shifter is, and get in there deep, until you see a verticle plate with a slotted-ridge thing. There's usually a 1.5"-2" steel pin that goes through the bottom of the shifter that slides along in there. It mostlikely fell out somehow... vibrations etc... check around to find the pin... fell down in carpet etc... once you find it.. buy another, find one in a junkyard, have one made, put it back in the hole/slot, and then super glue the snot out of it. That way it shoulnd't come out again.. but make sure you dont' superglue the shifter, or stuff like that.. or else you won't be able to shift.... there'll most likely be alot of grease down there.. i took out the shifterand cleaned off all the grease, so the glue would stick hope this helps... well.. hope you have an auto.. or i wasted 5 minutes typing this

More Lights.. ohhhh boy.... I slapped some Lightforce 170 Strikers on the front of the roo' and i must say.. it's pretty insane. What you see when i'm driving at you They sort of stick out alot.. .i may have to modify the bumper/grill to suck them back some more. So... my high beams were on... couldn't even tell when i turned them off Oh yeah.. the KC's under the lightforces arn't working.. need new bulbs.... I was playing around with putting them on the rack... but i think they look ok on the front there... they'd be better if i could bring them back an inch or 2 i think... but yeah.. that's it

You can weld anything i fyou have the proper equipment, hell... we've done aluminum cans at school before You can MIG on a subi body easily, just keep the amperage & voltage sort of low, it's like working on exhaust pipes, go slow, don't just hold it on there, give it time to cool, so you don't punch through.

jb weld doesn't rust if you paint it... sorry to hear that you cut too far... but like we said, you wouldn't be pissed of you did it to an ol' 80s wagon

I didn't mean to bash anyone or anything, i just get bored easily... slow moving things don't catch my eye as much as sloppy flinging mud & scraping metal on rocks Still, awesome video, can i borrow your camera man... ? well.. according to your credits... it seems that YOU are the camera man? and.. scott was driving? who's scott? :-p

my girlfriend worked for a public works place in VT, and yes, that's what they do. They're actually really cool, some of them can take pressure readings, and tell how heavy the vehicle is, the speed, and the spacing of the axles, and pop out what class of vehicle it is. They also have a soul steeling feature, i swear!!

Oh, other stuff, good times will be had! don't go forgetting about it! i still need to make myself a flag... i'll just throw it on the CB mast So i think i may bring my snow tires... drive down on the alloys.. and maybe change onto the snows when i get there... they're shorter, but they've got some tread... and if i blow a tire, i'm going to want a FULL set of tires to get back home. Sounds to me like i'm going to be sporting the rocket box

1) Steve, i think you're sexist, but i still love you 2) That canadian goose the other day didn't stand a chance... no swerving from my impreza 3) My girlfriend is not allowed to even talk to me about her driving 'misshaps' because it's rediculous... 4) I like numbering things 5) Those black rubber things are actually steeling your souls when you run them over, especially nipsters 6) i want to goto Harrys'! 7) Steve, make me a chicken pot pie!!!! :-p

Nice video.. but wasn't that a bit slow? are you running an auto, or 5spd? and come on.. you dodged that mud hole towards the end there. GO FOR IT! you want mud all over the place, afterall that's what those tires are ment for.
