  1. Wow... glad you're all right.... sorry to hear about the imp! mm... even more reason for me to never let the g/f drive my car
  2. i have no words for what you have done
  3. The autos use a clutch pack, the manuals use a viscous center diff... what's so hard about that? some guy made his impreza RWD... i think i saw that on nabisco... welded the plates & stuff together in there... not that hard i guess, but could be a pain..
  4. The fuse if Front wheel Drive, not rear.
  5. 1) sayn3ver, i hate you... because that is HOTT.... and red.... 2) To make the ssrs fit.. you're going to have to either beat the snot out of that area w/ a BFH, or take a sawzall to it. OR... try to adjust your caster... but not many people go that route... :-\
  6. 20A is what i've used and steve... Solder the ************ out of those wires.. you don't want those coming loose...
  7. wait wait... i thought the 360 was new school.... d;oh!!! Any my 97 impreza has selectable 4wd also
  8. linux is an operating system, which some say is better than windows... i agree with them It's just another way of computing data.. it's less suseptabe to viruses etc.. but you usually need to know what you're doing with it.. opposed to windows where anyone can use it Are you trying to get the pics off the camera, or from your system to the web that you're having problems with? The web thing is easy here on usmb.. just hit the 'photos' link at the top of the page here.. .and then hit 'upload photos', you can mess around w/ albums too if you're feeling ambisous. The camera and linux... what kind of camera are you using? you can usually map the device as a hard drive, and go from there.
  9. I don't know the answer... but the guys at Offroadsubarus.com may have an answer.
  10. that's one hell of a place to lose your clutch! :-\
  11. Now THAT"S something we've been looking for for years! good job!
  12. i've always thought EA = Old School and EJ = New School eh... and if you put an EJ into an EA chassis... well you're just cool Now... would the SVX be new or old? it's right on that line there....
  13. i'd just say screw it to the awd system.. and get a real tranny on there, that can handle the abuse...
  14. OH oh, i've got a lifted impreza... but you've all seen the pics before :-p Zap, i like the one with big wheels better no offence to your wife's car, but the dark grey is like.. 300% sexier than the lighter grey (yeah.. my car has the light grey :-\ ) oh yeah, superu, it looks like you've got plenty of axle angle left there, when it's lifted.... just put bigger rubber in there and it'll be hott oh yeah.. is that lots of PB blaster overspray i see on the cv boot? because i know i must have drained at least 1/2 a can to get those bolts out good stuff!
  15. Wait wait wait... you got stuck ON TOP OF another subaru?!?! lol, scrap, you are the man! lol no pics? now THAT would be funny heh.. for some reason.. roo on roo action... good stuff...
  16. Might also start busting halfshafts. and you'll need some more height to get a t-case in there.
  17. just put a switch inline w/ the duty C solenoid wire, you can lock up your clutch pack that way Dunno if it works for 02'.. but it worked for my 4eat http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50264
  18. nipster... need dental work done? drive up here, we can clamp you into the 5 axis mill.. and take care of things hmm... maybe my roo' needs it's teeth brushed!
  19. You can have more coils, and have it sit higher, all depends on how you make the springs
  20. Just my own opinion... but... i HATE outback sedans..... they're just so... uhg... :-\ sorry... they just need to be... longer... and a wagon  now... steve on the other hand... just has bad taste :-p
  21. Steve, the OB springs are taller than the legacy springs Just like Forester Springs are taller than Impreza Springs. But when you get mixing things.... Zap's all over that Maybe i should try outback springs on my forester struts... eek!
  22. You need the good ol' adapter plate too, and most likely a custom driveshaft. As for air lockers... yeah... you've got some other things to do before you start thinking about that... like building your own machine shop...
