1. the "1" posistion doesn't lock a 50/50 split exactly... it might be a better split like 55/45 or something like that.. but in my testing of the 4EAT and my all mightly 4wd switch, the '1' position does a whole lot of nothing except keep the tranny from shifting into 2nd.
2. my car is lifted 1.5" inches in the front and back.. you just cant' tell until i throw on the alloys.. i don't relaly know why... w/ the alloys on i get about 0.5" more clearance... but with the flat i get about -1" of clearance in the front The reason you can't tell it's lifted in the back is because there's so much crap in the box, and trunk
3.
I have studied your answers with interest and accept your unfounded criticisms of my (our) driving. But - Suppose the car was standing on ice and that theoretically there was no friction at all. You pushed it sideways into a 'skid', but then wanted to bring it straight. Wouldn't you pull it from the front with a piece of towing rope rather than push it from behind? Gil
No, you fire up your 8000# winch & pull your self out :brow: heh.. umm... i don't exactly understand the question, if you push the car sideways, and you want to yank it out.. of say a ditch? please re-phrase the question, i've done alot of pulling people out of stuff... i just don't get what you're saying...
4. Alright, so i can't stand not having a full light bar, so i got some more lights for it today, MAN does this thing kick some light here's some more pics... So now.. that's 4 on the bar, 2 driving lights, and stock headlights... it's pretty good, i think i still need some fogs again... some fogs that won't break this time
5. ^%#@$^%@!^@#$^!@#^!@$#^%!@# The tire that i had put on the brand new Rim had a VERY SMALL sidewall puncture... so when i woke up this morning i had a completely flat tire... BOOOO!!!! so i went and ordered a new tire... should be in on wednesday... grr!! (yes, all the tires are pretty much brand new, so they're all the same circumfrence) Back to my hard-core steelies for now!
6. Junk Yard, Jamie (www.SubaruGenuineParts.com), USMB Market Place, Someone you don't like's Forester, Subaru Dealer In that order exactly... can run you anywhere from 100-400 bucks... for brand new i'd go w/ jamie's site, very good buisness there
7. Awesome Chris, Glad to see someone else has a sense of adventure around here! I haven't bought a OE kit, i'm too cheap, but i'll have to head back to the junkyard & pull those parts. Woohoo!
8. I got my new rim in the mail the other day from jamie (Thanks Jamie! ?) and got it mounted up today, and now they're all on! whoah!! one sexy OBS! Now i just need to get some 28"ers on there and i'll be all set! woohoo!
9. The only time i slide to the side is when i give it to much nut, when i shouldn't be. Subaru's are great at drifting if you know how to correct for it Just take turns a little less harsh and you should be fine....

11. Sorry to bring back a dead post, but where are these pics & PDF's of Legacy777's? the tick just gets worse and worse in the cold, and i'd like to fix that sucker up. I've never played w/ the rockers before.. anything i should be carefull of? maybe clean the engine compartment 1st?
12. my impreza never gets above 'half' there's no temp readings on it.. just.. sits there in the middle

15. that's mine =P want a better res one of it? just IM me, and i'll hook you up actually, it'll be slower than DEATH but you can goto my website, i'm running it off of my home computer here, running on the cable modem, but it'll get it done. http://www.bigchunkofcheese.com/ then goto 'pictures' then "Icey Subaru Stuff (4)" and you should be good to go it'll load up thumbnails, and then click the one you want.. .they're large files, about 1.5mb each 3.1MPix
16. swaybaris pissed off, and unseated spring, i forgot to put in the rubber thingunder the spring... makes that noise
17. don't forget to soak some of those bolts w/ some PB Blaster before the job, a day or 2 of hitting them w/ it will make those bolts come out nice & easy, and hopefully you won't break them either =P
18. wouldn't there be a problem with only getting 50% of the power out of the 4EAT? even w/ the 4wd switch, you'd be sending 50% to the rear, where the T-case is located, and the other 50% would be trying to goto the axles for the front wheels... that arn't there, because you'd need a rear diff fabbed' up for the front driveshaft from the tcase.... or something
19. you can run a tcase in an auto? oh boy.... i'll be the guinea pig! just gimme one and i'll try to make it work!
