  1. I assume the axle wasn't removed from the hub or the castle nut loosened. Sounds to me the axle is jammed against the tranny spline. You need to make sure the car is secured on jack stands and then push/pull the hub outwards so that there is room to push the axle back in the tranny spline. You have to make sure the holes line up for the dowel pin. If this is wrong then more onfo is needed.
  2. Does anyone know where the fuel pump relay is located on an 86 XT Turbo 5 speed 4WD? The fuel pump only gets voltage (12V) when the starter is engaged. Also, do you know if the coolant temperture switch is suppose to have voltage going to it? The Haynes Manual says its suppose to have voltage to it, but mine shows none and the restistance is open. I tried to trace the wires back to the computer, but cannot find where they connect to the computer. Thanks, for any assistance!
  3. I put a replacement engine in my 86 and now it won't start. I suspect fuel delivery problem since I replaced the fuel pump with one from the salvage yard. Does anyone know how much fuel should flow through the pressure regulator back to the tank? or what the pulsed signal to the injectors should be? Any ideas, the car seems to want to run on starting fluid.
  4. I'm in Fort Worth, been away fron the board for a while. I never would have found it in the trunk. Thanks for your replies.
  5. Does anyone know where the ECM is located? I checked in the area under the steering wheel and its not there. I bought the car and put another engine in it and now I cannot get it to start. It will try to run on starting fluid. The fuel system is good as well as the injectors. I think I'm not getting a signal to the injectors and will put a scope on it soon.
