I don't really have a spot to put the stock return spring, but it has the one that cane with it on there. I couldn't get the car to stay running without pumping the gas constantly when I first tried to tune the carb. I finaly got it to idle at around 250 rpms and that's all I could get out of it. Lightly working the throttle would make it want to die.

Thanks for the replys guys. Yeah, i got the kit for the ea82. The idle speed screw dosnt even touch the linkage when the cable isnt connected and its tightened all the way down, so I adjusted the cable. The idle mixture is at I think 1 3/4 turns right now and that's where it idles best. I bought a new pcv when I installed the carb too. The float butterfly works too, when its warm its all the way open. I havnt pulled the plugs yet, but ill do that tonight when I get home. I didn't use any carb cleaner on it, I figured I wouldn't need to with it being a brand new carb.

Hey guys, I got my weber installed this weekend on my 86 ea82 wagon but I can't get the car to run right. I got the car to idle, but its way low like 250 rpms. I can't get it to idle any higher, and every time I touche the throttle it wants to die. I tried asjusting it the way the instructions say, but I'm getting nowhere. Have any of you guys had this problem?

Ok cool thank you, the detour hose was kind what was throwing me off.

Hey guys, I'm about to do a weber swap on my ea82 this weekend. The process seems pretty straight forward except the pcv routing. I've been looking at loyale2.7s weber thread, but I'm still a little confused by the pics on how to plumb the pcv hoses into the air box. And im not using an oil catch can. Does anyone have any close up pics I can look at?

I have some sweet dents in my doors lol. -
I havnt pulled any wires or anything. I ended up giving up on it last night and taking it to the local mechanic. Ill let you guys know what the verdict is when I get it back. Thank you all for the help, I really appreciate it.

No, its an 86 ea82. The rotor is pointing at the very front of the brake booster on tdc.

With the timing marks on the flywheel lined up on the middle one, the driver side cam mark is lined up with the top mark on the inner timing cover, and the passenger side is lined up with the bottom mark on the inner cover. And when I rotate the engine the cams are lined up opposite. Driver down, passenger up.

Hey guys. Yesterday when I got to work my car died while it was idling. When I got off I saw it was the driver side timing belt, it was off. So I put it back on and tried to start the car and it back fired right away. Now it just makes kind of a gurgling sound when I try to start it, and all it will do is turn over. The timing is spot on, so I don't know what it is. Any ideas?

Thanks for the replys y'all. I ended up cutting and extending the shifter to get it to work.

Hey guys, what did you do with your d/r linkage when you lifted your ea82s? I'm working on my buddys 4" lifted car and I'm making a z shaped piece of flat bar to drop the whole shift plate down, but the d/r lever still hits the body and won't go into 2wd.

This sounds like a missed connections post on craigslist lol.

I might be able to get there tonight.

Its the same thread though? How much do you think I'd have to cut off? Or could I just space it out with washers temporarily?

I don't know how, but my crank pulley came off and the bolt is gone with the wind. I'm at the jy now but they don't have any ea82s here. Will one from an ej22 work? If not does anyone know what size and thread so I can go to the bolt store and buy one?

Did you put the disk in backwards by chance? I did that once and had the same symptoms you're having. -
Yup look at the center caps, "T".

"Thread jack" can someone post a pic of the pcv system for me please, I have no idea what it looks like, unless its the 2 hoses going to the valve covers.
