Hey guys i know this may sound like a dumb question. Does anyone have a picture of the rear hatch struts attached to the hatch? I am trying to figure out the correct orientation of the bracket with the two bolts. I replaced them a few months ago and today one snapped off and the other looks rusty at the top of the strut like it has been bent. I just don't want to install the wrong and bend them

So to answer the question why down and not up, there is not much of a need for high ground clearance where I live (city, barely any snow ever.) And my 4yr old has a little trouble getting in and out some time... bigger boy. Selling the car is not really a option right now and the csr i want is well out of my budget for a while anyway. Just trying to go like 1.5 maybe 2 inches lower. Someone said just use legacy struts the same year, will it drastically lower it?

hey guys hopefully this is the right place to post this. So I have a 96 legacy outback and need to replace the struts. Im wanting to lower it a bit but not slam it, and ideas what struts/spring to use? I have heard of using wrx struts but also heard it slams it to the ground. I found some 1pc coilovers that say the fit the legacy outback and the wrx but not sure of how low it will drop it. Any insight is appreciated

hey guys hopefully this is the right place to post this. So I have a 96 legacy outback 2.2 and the ac doesn't work. I know it needs the belt since its not kn the compressor, but I'm trying to figure out what else I need to replace. I checked the underhood fuse box and found the fuse for the ac blown. I replaced it with a 10amp and the 2nd fan kicked on. The pully on the comis super loose and seems to not engage when the ac is "turned on" I found the main plug that has 3 wires going to it kn the top of the compressor and tried to check the wires for power. No such luck. Does anyone have a diagram of what one should send power to actithe clutch and also where the relay for the clutch is located. Picture's help as well. Its suposed to hit the mid 90s here next week and trying to get the ac functioning so my newborn is comfortable. Thank you in advance!

So i just look and saw its a single port setup. Will a impreza manifold fit? -

I think the car came from the east coast, it it all rusty and cracked in spots. The previous owner "welded" parts together instead if replacing burnt out gaskets -

So would this be a dual port style? If i recall from when i did my oil change this was what the manifold looked like -

How do you tell if its single or dual port exhaust? -
I would.be replacing the switch, but all im finding local has the lock cylinder with it. I would like to have only 1 key for all locks and ignition. This is what im finding at the local part stores and all the local bst pages. If this is not the ignition switch can you please post a pic or link to what i need?

Hey guys i have a 96 legacy outback with power locks. Im assuming power locks are standard but not sure, is there a way to tell if it has key less entry/factory alarm? When i got the car it came with just one key and it was a copy and no key fobs. If it does not have keyless entry, if i just get a factory module for it will it be plug and play or is the factory wiring not present?
