  1. HEY!!! Thats my car in the pic!!! (Maybe it is my car....) ops.. nope just looked closer at the pics... was too light of blue to be my old 87
  2. The trails up North Fork are still closed yes. Last Friday I went up Church Mountain and caught a couple trails off that. I wasn't as narrow or daring as you kids were on the North Fork ones but I must say that the roads (to even an authorized hiking trail) were windblown (trees down) and over grown (Perfect to take the Tacoma!) and there is stll snow in selected parts. (see pic... that there above the rocks where the water is coming out... yah.. thats a big mass of snow) There isn't alot of snow on the roads- just what there is of it is realllyyyy wet. I went up Sumas mountain after that to attempt to reach the cell towers/border patrol sensor/camera relay station at the top and I stopped as soon as I saw that the truck before me didn't make it. There are a few trails up there that I wouldn't mind following a bit more.
  3. I think we need to get out our group and get some more... (check out the Bellingham Herald) I'm gonna frame today's paper.
  4. is that your cell or home number ruguy? You should be able to make it if you run from work..
  5. I'm still planning.. I hope the meeting that I scheduled at work won't go too long.... YAYYYY Its good that its a subie meet... the Brat gets better mileage than the Taco. So now are we still meeting at Dicks if it is raining? will someone call me if we're meeting somewhere different? 360-739-3535??? amanda
  6. I never really had names for my subies (my family and I all just called them my "Subies") until Rosie came along... Yes.. Rosie Cuz perhaps one day... if everyone else goes... It will be The Brat and I... Just ROSIE and Me. (you get it...) Rosie- (also the color) At times when the oil hits the exhaust pipe.. it becomes Rosie the fire truck.. hehehe.. Or Rosie picked up a bad habit of smoking.. hehehe Then of course.. Indy. my Toyota.. for "Indy-go" the color of the truck...
  7. Well.. the food is cheaper at wongleflute's but what if it rains?? RR at northgate does have a big parking lot... if it is the one i'm thinking of... I would be SOOOO there. Saturday works better for me since I have to work early mornings sat... Both are date nights so if I don't have something 'hot' lined up then.. well... I guess...I could...
  8. Man! These pics make me wish I kept my Legacy... a "family car" could have turned bad arse. Oh well.. The brat will be fine for now.. Rosie my fire engine.. gotta get her to quit smokin. Seriously... If I weren't about to move....
  9. hey!!! whats your plan??? i might have to leave in a day for SLC.... what do you need???
  10. HEY I'm in Bellingham! Subaruman.... is that you in Vudden Salley? Or are you closer to town than that? I've noticed also a couple of lifted ea82 wagons around town that I don't know from the board. I've often thought about askin...
  11. lots of us do... me, scott, uncool, dustyrider... Mt Baker is home to subies of all shapes and sizes.... why?
  12. Even without lifting or modifying Subies... I show my friends pics and tell them about places I've taken my subies and they laugh. "Why don't you just get a Jeep?" "Why don't you just sell the piece of junk and get a real car?" "Why do you try to take something places it was never intended to go?" "Why don't you stop putting money into your (brat/wagon) and put it towards your truck?" The only thing my mum says is "Well... I guess its your car 'manda. If you want to destroy it then its your deal." But then of course there are people like my dad "what parts do you need next? Can I keep an eye out for something when I go to the parts yard?" And then my assistant at work thinks it rocks. He thinks its really cool that a chick would even consider trying some of that stuff or even care about cars. That alone makes me ok. .... I guess.
  13. I'll keep my eyes peeled. I know climbing is real popular in North Central WA. Unfortunately, I don't go over there much. I'll let others know though.
  14. The week after thanksgiving or the 9-12? I can haul it over there from WA. Wheeee I like Montana....
  15. ok.. i can never imagine which gravel pit you are at. The first one to the left is where all the trucks and trailers park down in the pit right? Maybe you could phone me before? Andy? What time are we lookin at? I have to convince the boy that this is a good idea
  16. I guess i should update my pic eh? I no longer have a forester... just an 87 Wagon and Brat and 05 Taco.
  17. Either I will need new seats in the brat (OMG they are wearing my back into knots!) OR (What I think is a better idea) I'll be the odd one out and take my Tacoma. Then at least I can haul the spare parts and I'll have more weight than the Subie to pull you out when stuck! Haha I"m totally up for this. Especially since I was considering going back to school next year and I'm considering Fairbanks. I'll have to see what car/truck I have at the time.
  18. Ahh its probs like this that made me sell my 03 Forester. How many miles did you say it had on it? Mine blew a HG at about 32k. I was just sitting and idling. I didn't have the antifreeze smell before hand but WATCH OUT!!! Make them FIX it. They put a sort of.. "Stop Leak" in mine to fix the crack. I smelled antifreeze after that when the car warmed up. They told me it was just the blasted antifreeze burning off. I didn't feel much like putting up with the dealer's antics after I had taken it back for warrenty work to 3 different dealerships, on the average of every 5000 miles. I had 80k on it when I sold it. I wasn't looking forward to another 80k of inconveniences. Just be careful when you take it in.. you can fix the problem or you can FIX THE PROBLEM.
  19. I won't be able to make it but can someone keep an eye out for bumpers/guards, etc for the new 2005 Toy Taco. I'm having a helluva time finding stuff for little "Indy"
  20. I take it that you really wanted the 77 wagon eh?? What is the gal's phone number?? I'll see what I can do if you want... Why did she jack the price??
  21. Ya. NO kidding.. where are you staying? How did the trip go? I'm living up here on NorthFork Road, just across the river from the excellent North Fork Beer. How are classes going for you?? My friend had a hard time finding a place to rent with her two dogs. I know that there are some relatively cheap apartments on Bakerview near Guide Meridian that allow pets. Also over on Northwest Ave you may find a few places that would take pooch.
