Hey guys. So my 1992 Legacy Wagon has an issue where nowadays I'll sometimes start the car and go to drive away, but I can feel that it's just not got all the power you'd expect from depressing the gas pedal. The revs climb higher than normal while my foot is on the gas, but there's not a lot of power delivery. It essentially just feels like it's stuck in 1st or 2nd gear maybe, but I don't know. Usually after driving at speed for a few minutes it tends to return to normal and I have full power when depressing the gas pedal. If it helps, I also have occasional hard starts and an elusive issue with my starter not wanting to start the car. So, what do you think it could be?

Hello all. As a preface, I've tried to do as much reading on this forum and others educating myself on which ATF might be appropriate for my 1992 Legacy. I purchased the car a little over 2 years ago without knowing any of the maintenance history, and even though the current fluid is still a brighter pink/red I'd like to change the transmission fluid in the near future. However, the manual calls for DEX II or IIE and obviously those are not available any longer. I've read some horror stories with people putting in newer, modern fluids that gave some real problems to these older 4EAT transmissions. Do you guys have any thoughts on what ATF I can put in my old Legacy?

Hi guys. I've been stymied by the presence of oil on the lower half of the threads on each of my spark plugs except #4; that one only had a little bit. I've got a '92 Legacy wagon with only 72,000 miles on it. I regularly keep up with the maintenance, but I don't know how it was maintained before I purchased it two years ago. It never has oil on the tip of the plug or near the ceramic part, only on the bottom half of the threads. I've got a phase 1 EJ22, so the plugs don't go through the valve covers. Any thoughts? Is this a bad sign? Thanks.

It's OBD 1; never had a CEL, but I checked the codes it had stored before I did the timing belt a couple months ago. It had the following codes stored: Crank angle sensor/circuit (no reference pulse) Starter switch (starter switch remains in ON of OFF position) Cam angle sensor (no position pulse) Airflow sensor (open or shorted airflow sensor circuit) I went to check any codes again yesterday but there didn't appear to be any. I guess they were erased from memory when I disconnected the battery. Is there an obvious way to check a leaky fuel injector? I've got no experience with those. Thanks.
