  1. hey everyone, my names miles, been a Subaru guy for longer then i can remember. I used to be a marine mechanic till about 2 1/2 years ago when i got in a fairly big accident on my motorcycle. i was lane splitting and the truck i hit had a bent lift gate that stuck out well over 8" past the edge and i clipped it and got sucked under the truck and kinda flopped to the side of the road. totally took out my entire right shoulder and gave me a really serious concussion and some brain damage, so i lost a very large chunk of my memories and skills. so its like i have to figure it all out for the first time again when im working on things, though now i have a much shorter temper then i used to and clear thinking is a thing of the past.... anyways, hey everyone, i hope you can find my horrible mangled sentences a little bit readable, still working on getting feeling back in my fingertips xD heres a link to my crash article https://www.eastbaytimes.com/2018/08/16/traffic-alert-posey-tube-in-alameda-backed-up-after-crash/
  2. so, plugs didn't help, checked the injectors, they are getting power, tripple checked by removing one and letting it sit outside the manifold, seems to work, its misting fuel out in a nice pattern. i guess its coil maybe?
  3. new plug wires did not help, gaped the plugs, still nothing, im gonna try another set of plugs, then im out of ideas
  4. hey that!s kinda neat, i like the ingenuity! on ej20's theres a place to put a wrench on the cam itself, not sure if ej22's have that also
  5. # 1 #3 #2 is soaking wet and looks like it hasn't fired once. #1 looks good, #3 looks like it started to fire. #4... wow, just wow #2 #4
  6. i just don't have the money for a standalone, ive got an old megasquirt box not doing anything, would it work with the stock sensors?
  7. sometimes the simple problems might be the answer, looks like the plug wires might just be toast, ill get some tomorrow and try again
  8. k, charge light was the belt was loose, fixed that. and now i can get it to run with the mass air flow sensor unhooked, Ive re gone over all the connections, double checked the timing, checked the injectors to see if they are still firing, seems like it. when the mass air is plugged in the car looses all will to run and dies, i dont think its dirty as i have burned threw a whole can of mass air flow cleaner on it while it was off of the car
  9. inside the car, the car started, charge light goes out like its supposed to, comes back on and it looses all power
  10. so its starting, but not staying running, ive got the timing set correctly, belt and distributor, 20 degrees btdc with the green test connectors. every sensor is oem, all the connections have been cleaned, so.. could this be bad ecu? i just tore the distributor apart and cleaned the pickup wheel (it was dirty) reassembled and its still having the same issues https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/794993406040211477/803799186386452500/video_2021-01-26_17-29-57.mp4
  11. its ea82T the problem child subaru, lol the picture is an 89 honda crx
  12. so a tip with these wheels is you need wide lug nuts, for people in the PNW les shwab sells them, i think they will also work on the Peugeot wheels 12 x1.25
  13. do you know how this was stroked? does he have a write up somewhere?
  14. is it leaking? or making alot of noise? the seals and bearing are replaceable, fairly easy to fix if that's all it is.
  15. just wanted to make sure you were not using an aftermarket thermostat, they are all garbage, and oem is the only way to go oem on left, motorad on right
  16. there is some suspect that the engine isnt as highly modded as they are saying, no details kinda sus. also, its still basically an EA clutch so high performance? more like stock lol
  17. did a bunch of clay bar on the body, put the permanent wheels on her
  18. yay my parts all showed up! i mean, dang my parts showed up, lol
