  1. You guys don't see the T-Top in the top right part of the water???
  2. Most Recent thing I have: Behind that wall of water... There is Lurch with me (Eli) driving it. 1984 Brat.
  3. I blew up a pair of Euro Tours in about 33k and they pro-rated me on them and my new set cost $370 w/ an alignment.. this is for my 205/55/16 though.. (About $120-130 ea for the euro tour in that size) I got the latest edition Euro Tour on my Legacy right now.. they feel soft and a little loose in tight turns.. They probably are a nice tire for normal driving.. smooth ride... responsive.. strong side wall.. a little bit noisy.. don't expect to get the advertised mileage w/ any hard driving though..
  4. With winter gas I got 23mpg from Tucson to Portland... Summer gas I get about 22-25 City and about 27-28 highway... Sometimes a bit less cuz I'm a speed demon! It's hard to do IMO but you'd get good gas mileage keeping your RPMS between 1500 and 3500 ... *putt putt putt putt*
  5. Thanks for the tip... I usually use laundry detergent on the exterior... any good suggestions??
  6. One on the clutch one on the brake. On the "don" note... hey... they want you dead they don't really try to do it "sneaky". They usually just pay someone to do it. Depending on who you are... average people are easily killed for $5,000 by any low-life willing to pull a trigger. One of my friends was murdered by a "don" about a half a year ago... the "don" had his 18 year old son, Ruben Zuniga, pull the trigger and disappear to Mexico. http://www.pimasheriff.com/MR2005/041505homicide.htm http://www.pimasheriff.com/MR2005/042905felonyarrestwarrant.htm Those are links to the press releases from Pima County sheriffs. I know the "don" did it because I used to work for them (long before this happened.) That is what happens to you when you mess with the mafia. They do REALLY like the Subarus though!!
  7. Dish Soap (with bleach alternative), Carb Cleaner, Water & Compressed Air. Dying for a steam cleaner to get the tougher grease you can't see in the pics...
  8. the ea82 seats are wider too... i had to take some of the door moulding off to get mine to fit..
  9. Been workin on Smoke a little bit lately.. got it down to needing new rubber fuel lines.. a fuel pump relay.. and preferrably a better fuel pump than one out of an ea82. It needs some suspension work as the air system is a bit glitchy right now. http://gallery.usmb.net/albums/album17/XT6Front.jpg[/img]"] There it is.. up on blocks.. You can see the GT off to the right and Lurch in the back. That's Jessicas Honda Accord SW in the back. http://gallery.usmb.net/albums/album17/ER27_2.jpg[/img]"] A good overhead shot of the ER27. She screams. http://gallery.usmb.net/albums/album17/ER27_Dirty.jpg[/img]"] Here it is Before I cleaned it... Cleans up nice doesn't it?!! Anyway... I'm dying to have this car on the road. Really the only question I have at this point is about the hood not closing flush... Is it possible it was in a minor front end collision and bent the hood supports? Or something weird bent the hood supports?? If anyone has any XT6 with a hood that close flush could you snap some pics of the bracket mount area inside the engine bay?? I think mine is bent.. but I don't want to try to "unbend" it if it's not bent.. ya know.
  10. I'm 99% sure it plugs right into the back of MY stock stereo... I don't however know if it plugs into the stock stereo's that aren't already equiped with it... but if you have a stock deck that was designed with the woofer and/or disc changer plugs you should be all good.
  11. Hey yeah my 98 2.5 GT has a stock 80 watt Subaru 8" Sub-Woofer/Amp under my drivers seat. I had a 6 disc changer under the passenger too until I broke it.
  12. In my XT6 the injectors have yellow caps and say "Denso" on them... does that help any?
  13. I have to agree with gary. I drove my 98 legacy for a couple weeks with the FWD fuse in place (due to some transmissions problems (Torque Bind)) and I didn't notice any gains in mpg or anything... hated the way it handled though.
  14. Most the wheelin' down here is pretty well marked where you can and can't go. When I lived in Oregon and still here... my basic rules about going places I'm "unsure" of is to stay ON the beaten path. If it looks like a road it probably is.. if it doesn't look like a road it's probably somewhere you'll get stuck. And for heavens sake just don't drive your rig on ATV trails. Look for signs.. even knocked over ones.. don't go through gates unless there is instructions telling you it's okay.. Just try to use your common sense about where to be... if it looks inviting and there are no signs/attempted road blocks.. it's probably okay.. just be ready to talk your way out of any situations that might arise...(I'm sorry... I didn't see any signs.. I was just exploring.. I'll leave..) all good things to say when you're somewhere you didn't know you weren't supposed to be.. try not to get stuck and try not to tear up the land. Be Safe! Be Kind! Be Responsible! You'll be okay
  15. ... " “Tribeca”. That's the hipster's sobriquet for the New York City neighborhood in the “TRIangle BElow CAnal street”. It's the 'hood where artists sell “challenging” work for outrageous prices. " .... That about sums up anything I would ever want to say about the B9.
  16. Exhaust and intake should fit because it's the same motor... but mounting brackets etc may be in different locations so it could take some minor fabricating... depending on the suspension you are talking about yes but no. You can fit sway bars and strut braces... but it takes some .... bending... to your car. Springs wont fit because the strut mounts are larger in diameter on the Legacy. I'm not sure if an entire coil-over set-up would fit... but im sure you could get it to with a little fab'ing. Dunno about the emblems.. i think that just depends on years. And hey, you can always do what I did... if you got the parts try it. I wouldn't spend too much money on anything that you don't know fits. Good luck.
  17. Have one myself that I'm restoring. 2.7 litre horizontally oposed 6 cylinder (XT6.) Depending on the tranny that's in there you would probably have a center diff lock, but not the dual range. I read somewhere that the XT / XT6 has the least co-effecient of drag out of any vehicle... making it the most aero-dynamically designed car.. at least of its time. Anyone back me up on that?? It's a great looking car and the XT's are fun to drive. I was also told the XT6 is the "prototype" of the SVX.
  18. How about using the headlights as trailer reverse lights? You know.. reverse lights ON rear of the trailer?? just a thought..
  19. Yeah.. the 3rd eye comes on with the high beams... at least thats how it was wired in my '82 GL.. had to be on high beams... as for it not coming on.. i would suspect: Motor, wiring, fuse? ... I think if it was the fuse the dash light wouldn't come on though. Can you tell if the light itself is on and just the door isn't popping up??? Can you disconnect it and "hot" wire it to the battery for a second to see if it's working??? Best of luck... gotta love the "Passing Lamp"!
  20. hey that's what i get for not looking at post dates... the info may help out someone else...?
  21. Hey Brian, Just my $.02.. but, when the brat failed emission w/ high HC it was the timing.. It was too far advanced... like 14 degrees instead of 8.. First thing you should do is check/set the timing properly!!! It might not be a bad idea to do the spark plugs and plug wires too.. Good luck bro.
  22. Yeah.. I'm not sure if your timing needs to be advanced or retarded .. get a good light on there and get it right around what your specs say it should be.. 8 or 9 btdc .. probably shouldn't have to mess with your fuel mixture or anything.
