  1. Is the pic not working? Yes I have the book on it but the diagram is a POS... http://gallery.usmb.net/album17
  2. That and someone put 64k miles on it in one year???
  3. OKAY! So I THINK this is the problems... See those green wires that turn into red wires? They gotta hook up to SOMETHING... one of them if I stick it to the positive lead it starts making this ticking noise.. but when i try and turn it over with the ignition it just goes *CLICK* The other one I can't find a purpose for. If I hook the one up to the positive lead and use an ignition bypass.. the car will start and run just fine... WTF IS GOING ON WITH THIS THING?!
  4. So, we decided to just ask her if we can have the 4-way tire iron or one of the two lug wrenches she has sitting in her trunk, instead of having her pay us money. And we're going to ask her if she'll let us have the car when it fianlly gives out:headbang: . Thanx for all the input guys!! ~*~jessica~*~ and Eli
  5. is the castle 32mm or 36mm? I had my socket out yesterday but now i cant remember...
  6. Yeah. Single mom, two kids.. has a crush on her female history teacher. Good luck though...
  7. Ohh man my 98 Legacy is starting to have these symptoms.. but not so bad.. what solenoid?? How much does it cost? I was just hoping it was like the at fluid needing to be flushed and the the differential fluid too... uhhhg.
  8. Okay, just to clarify things here.. "SuBrat84" is Eli (the guy, 22) and Jessica (the sexiness leaning up against the 82 GL in the pics, 20) We are engaged to be married on May 13th 2006. Neither of us are fat, or balding. Jessica says she is not offended. :-p And yah, you SHOULD move to Tucson.. we need more people here to go wheelin with! We're sick of getting dirty looks from all the fords, toyotas, and jeeps that wheel out here. (Mostly Eli posts on here.. sometimes Jessica... Sometimes both of us at the same time.) SO STAY CONFUSED!!
  9. well, the girl leaning on the vehicle, not the owner, that be me, jessica. Yes i guess i answered my own question, i'm giong to let the sister (single mom) have the Honda, the lady wants her car back. She's real nice and living in the middle of nowhere on dissability. BOY THE DRAMA. So we're fixing it and she wants to pay Eli, who is fixing it right now and won't let me help:-\ As a matter of fact she wants us to tell her how much she should pay us and we don't really know what to suggest. I say be a good samaritan and do it for free, but if you guys have any opinions on how much you think she should pay feel free to say, it will be appreciated:) Thanx!! Uhm oh ya, and we dunno if we would really want to keep it, not 4wd:banghead: but it has great parts! ~*~jess~*~..my nephew wanted the dancing banannas:banana:
  10. The cute one in the pic... yeah, that's jessica and I am marrying her :-p The lady with the 82 GL... uhhh no thanks.
  11. Ya the lady even offered to have us just pay her $50.00 for it. But we said no, she paid $200.00 for it, we told her we would give her $300.00. Her brother put in a brand new clutch that cost her, I think she said, around $180.00. It's a nice little car, doesn't really need a whole lot more work. We just don't know what the "right" thing to do is. Normally we help people free, but it's kinda a bind situation.... give this lady her car and only means on transportation or sell it to the single mom with two kids who's trying to divorce the evil husband who happens to be in jail..hmmmmmmm. We're kinda leaning on giving it back to her, let the sister make small payments on the Honda Accord wagon. How does that sound? I think a little better. Thanks for the input guys!! ~*~jessica~*~...oh and Eli i guess
  12. So I'm driving across town today.. and I see this lady broken down in an 82 GL.. so Im like "Yeah, I'll stop to see if she needs help." Anyway.. I tracked the problem down to an ignition thing. Apparently there is something wrong the car thinks the ignition is in the "off" position no matter what position it is in. She is terrified of "electrical" problems costing an arm and a leg at a shop. So she was practically willing to give the thing away. So I towed it to a friends house near by... We're trying to decide what to do with it. Compression sounds good and she said it runs good. It has virtually no rust. Brand new clutch, Brand new water pump... So here's my options and I would like anyones input. 1) Buy the car for $300 and part it out. 2) Buy the car for $300, fix it and keep it. 3) Buy the car for $300, fix it and sell it to Jessica's sister for $400 or $500. 4) Fix the car and return it to the lady for little or no charge. Here's a few pics:
  13. First of all Welcome to the board, you've come to the right place.. The rust can be an issue depending on where it is and how bad it is.. Once you get specs on the car (engine type, etc.) I'm sure some of the veterans in here can more than answer your questions. I hope you have good luck with getting a soobie and enjoy it as much as we all enjoy ours!
  14. Looks nice, Good Score!. Bummer the jumpseats aren't in it.. are the mounts there for the seats? How much did that little beauty cost ya?
  15. Whenever we go over something "abrupt" in the brat.. the rear suspension makes a loud "thunk" noise... sometimes speed bumps will do it.. but more often out wheelin goin off a little drop or hittin a pot hole or something will do it... I'm thinking struts are shot? Just wanted some thoughts on it... (84 Brat EA81 4D/R 236k)
  16. Definately. I was just up in Reddington Pass today doin some lite wheelin in the brat! Feel free to pm or e-mail me to discuss this further!
  17. There's a couple yards with a couple soobs.. It's pretty hit and miss... I got 4 wheels/tires for 40 bux from millie's off a late 80's turbo wagon... and there is a dude at a yard but i dunno the name of it who is into subaru's... I'm gonna go check him out this week and see what kinda leads he has on roo parts... He gave me an air box lid for FREE for the brat!!! Do you need me to look for anything for you?? I'm currently job less so i have some free time...
  18. 1) As far as I know the "Sport" is the Impreza model instead of the Legacy model? 2) Depends what motor is in it? 3) Couldn't hurt to do the plugs / wires / oil / air filter 4) Have fun with it!
  19. Yeah.. Junkie told me to stick a 20oz soda bottle cap in the rubber hose... but then should i block the hose coming from the air box too?? And then just take those plastic "muffler" things out??
  20. Is the noise consistant with your RPMS? I thought I had bad rings but it turned out to be my ASV.. it makes a funky noise!!! (maybe i do have bad rings? cuz only the drivers side makes the noises...) http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=34967
  21. Yeah, sand it. Then paint it!
