i came across these on cardomain, its a short shifter in a 2wd, but i know a guy who did a 2wd, to 4wd conversion on a justy, so im guessing he re- wired the 4wd button ontop of the shifter to somewhere on the dash, and i was wondering how you would do this, possibly cut it, then take a tap to thread it and drill the knob?? would this make it hard to go into gear, i guess not if this guy did it. any help would be great!

well, i have a couple questions about my 93 justy that isnt working right now because i burnt up the ecvt clutch. Well i have an oppertunity to buy a 5spd conversion for it for 400 bucks, i dont know if i wanna do that, because of the money i paid for the whole car was only 300 bucks. but i dont know if you can convert any trannys into the car or whatever. Someone said something about putting in a dual range tranny. i dunno. another thing i came across are some turbo manifolds from a 6 cly, car i was just wondering if these would possibly work for a justy, because as far as i know that is one of the hardest parts out of turboing a justy well that and the whole bit about space for everything. also i was looking for one one of these extensions, because i got a intake for the just, but the tubing will not clear the head, does anyone know where i can get one???

i know the justy bolt pattern is 4-140, with some drilling would it work for a 4-137, or would that ************ up the wheel
-
im not exactly sure how shot it is... but i know i put it into gear and it doesnt move haha. ecvt is not that relible thought, it gets really hot really easy because there are no gears

I would most definetly sell it but its got 210,000 on the motor But i baught it from a subaru dealership, and the guy who sold it kept it in good shape most likely had the ecvt redone and all that. cuz ecvt just dont last 210 from what i hear. But the motor fires up with no hesitation at all.

im thinking about droping a 4cly motor im my 93 justy. Right now im looking for a donor car with a 5spd to possibly drop the motor in because i have a en ecvt in my 93 that is burt up. I was just looking for any ideas of what to do on dropping a motor in. What i should use, and what i should do for all the wireing and all the goods. When i had the justy running even with the 75hp ecvt tranny it was fun as hell. So im just looking for some ideas on what to do. Thanks alot bgale

What to do with non-running justy?
Bgale04 replied to Bgale04's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
oh yea, they are ************ing sweet. i did a hill clim in it that my buddy with an f-350 couldnt do..... well only because his fuel pump wasnt gettting gas at the top of the hill.... but still -
I have a 93 justy that was an ecvt, and i burnt up the transmission, and i know they are to expensive to replace. And i was trying to find a 5 speed out of a junker. I know an all subaru junkyard that sells the complete deal for 400 bucks, and they say its pretty easy to install, but they said that they havent had a 4wd 5spd in stock for a while. So i was just wondering what would be the best thing to do. I had such fun in it when i had it! i just wish it was runing again!!!!

if i were to hook it would be an ecvt to a 5 speed would that still work with the transfercase?
-
i have a 1993 justy, and i was a 5 speed, is there any way i can drop the 4wd transfercase into the 2wd and hook everything up?

what do ya mean EV project?

I have a 93 gl justy that is not running right now because i burned up the ecvt tranny. But when it was running i took it rallying and it was doing really well for only a 3 clyinder. And i got really intereded in making it a rally mobile... I recently baught a hood scoop and an intake. I plan on doing a bunch of stuff to it, then (well as soon as possible) putting in the 5 speed transmisson. I work at a les schwab so i can get struts, and tires and all that. I JUST NEED A FEW IDEAS OF WHAT TO DO. Also i was tring to put in the intake, and i took out the air box, and there are a few sensors that im not too sure about. Because it ran without those sensors in the intake. Or does anyone know anything about putting a snorkel on a justy???? Just need some feedback of what to do.

any updates on the project??

$550 takes it. Includes: - IHI turbo, fresh rebuild - tubular manifold - downpipe - oil lines - Ford 350cc injectors - charge piping - DSM SMIC intercooler - Greddy Type-S blow off valve - "black box" that rescales the injectors, which I recommend you throw away and buy a Megasquirt (~$250) do you still have this for sale... im sure its probally gone but would someone be willing to semi product this?? I was looking on ebay and some some garrett gt-15 turbos for an r1 steet bike but of course you would need the manifold piping and all the goods in your set.... i have a 93 gl justy that would be my test dummy and a 89 gl that would most likely reep all the benefits. Let me know of anything that i can do or just need to do or whatever. Im really interested in this have been researching it all day today thanks alot brannon
