the ones where half the car is white look ok, but I'm still probably go for white, or another solid color... --Spiffy -

you would want to ask this on the "New Gen" forum... but it doesn't sound right to me... nothing special should happen when you turn... --Spiffy -
what do you think its worth
Spiffy replied to bigo1966's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
yeah, it's got a lot of problems for the price they're asking... and like Turbone says, who knows what other unreported issues it might have... might be worth $600... maybe... --Spiffy -
I work until 5:00pm every weekday, so that means I wouldn't even be able to leave portland until at least 6:00pm, if I rushed... so I doubt I would make it to the forest while anybody was still there... unless you're planning on staying out late... --Spiffy

welcome! very nice cars... I like the color on the '77... --Spiffy

guess you'll be crawling into the back from the inside... yank off the panel on the tailgate and manually open it (to make access easier)... --Spiffy

I agree... it's got that euro-contrast thing going on... very period for that car... --Spiffy -
swap the dual range and radiator into the grey one... it should be an easy swap... get the FI running... --Spiffy

way too long for the ea82... put an ea81 in it if it doesn't already have one... but I'd totally put a d/r into it... --Spiffy

duh, good call on getting cb equipment from truck stops... I'll try and stop into a couple on my trip this weekend and see what I can find... I checked GI Joe's and they had a good deal on the power cable I needed for mine... I haven't found a place with a metal antenna I like... I want it to be shiny, not white or black, otherwise I'd get a firestick since I've used them before... and speaking of wattage (getting back on topic) I need to get some lights on my wagon, but first I want to get a roof basket so I can mount them on that... --Spiffy

...wait for it... --Spiffy -
I'm looking at mounting one to the fender opposite the radio antenna... same deal, on a spring... I figure it's a decent place to mount it and should get ok reception... I just have to find a mount and antenna that look decent... know of any places that sell a lot of cb stuff? --Spiffy

it's a great engine and some people prefer them... no timing belts to mess with... and they aren't as prone to overheating and blowing head gaskets... not as much power as the ea82, but neither of them are race engines or anything... (: and yeah, they are pretty easy to work on... --Spiffy

welcome! I always liked the GT line of lego models... that little bit more sportiness makes a difference... but I'm more about handling than speed... --Spiffy

that's a good idea, and my rear defrost is in the same shape... gonna do the GM alt swap? --Spiffy

I went this way as well and it seemed the easiest out of the two I found written up on here... --Spiffy

it should be the opposite of the lenses... white bulb, orange lense... orange bulb white lense... so if you have jdm white lenses then go with orange... otherwise if you have orange lenses use a white bulb... I'm sure if they both look orange enough you could just go with the combo you like best... oh, but you're in one of those inspection states... hmmm... --Spiffy

yeah, it often depends on how things go once you start getting parts removed... I went through that guide and ended up straying slightly... it's the basics of getting it loose and getting it out of the knuckle that are the tough parts... I say just go for it and you'll know which path to take when you get there... --Spiffy
