  1. FOR SALE a lot of old school stuff- wheels bumpers lift kit dual carb manifold
  2. Wife got me these for my birthday! 1000 Series. Badass! http--,,--// Right now i just have them mocked up. Gonna pretty up the bumper with some flat black Plasti-Dip. http--,,--// Will have them all wired up and looking sexy very soon!
  3. Year? Have you changed the fuel filter(s)? Check all your vacuum lines and carb mounting, lack of power and erratic idle sounds like a vacuum issue. Gloyale is spot on about the gurgle. Timing for a Weber can be tricky. Keep bumping it around till you find your sweet spot. I've done the Weber swap on 2 EA81's and each was a bit different on the timing.
  4. Dude, srsly, go Weber. I've done it twice. Easy to do and well worth it. Plenty of info on this site to get it done.
  5. Ok, pulled the switch and the male/female connector from the switch into the harness is absolutely FRIED! Peeled back about 4 inches of the harness casing and all the wires look fine. Looks like a trip to the boneyard for new switch and connector is in order. Last time I was there all they had was an '80's hatch. Hope it's still there.
  6. thanks guys. will be checking the switch in a few min. where are those grounds located?
  7. Replaced a blown fuse and still nothing. They were working just fine. Everything else works. Checked the 3 links in the grey plastic cover on the passenger side, all good. was thinking bad light switch but all my other lights work just fine. *scratches head*
  8. That always sounds sooo ominous to me. Haven't had the courage to open mine. May have get another set to play with.
  9. thanks guys. I had a Cherry Bomb on my '81 Brat and i liked it. Leaning back that way........
  10. It's from the How To Keep Your Subaru Alive '72 Thru 84 edition, chapter 17. The artist is Joe Leahy
  11. I would get a used one. Cheaper that going rebuild and generally a safe bet.
  12. Try going into neutral while in motion. Mine will sometimes get stuck in 4th if I come to a stop while in gear with clutch pedal pressed. Come to a stop in neutral.
  13. I'm thinking remove the bar, install the seat frame, drop bar back in, then put the seats in. Probably have to move the seats a little closer together. There's about a 2 inch gap between the bar and the bed.
  14. http--,,--// http--,,--// Looks do-able. Tight fit but do-able. They wouldn't be for riding in anyways...
  15. Cool, thanks. I'll get some pics up tomorrow. My tubes are fatter and it's a gen 2 which I believe is a bit wider than the Gen 1's but it's looking like I can make a set fit with little to no modding.
  16. Thanks. If someone could post some really close-up shots that would help.
  17. http--,,--// I believe It's off of a ford ranger trimmed up to fit Brat. Seems a little tight where the jumpseats would go. I'm thinking I may have to trim up the seat frame a bit, if possible, to make it fit. I hope not.
  18. Looks like a nice car, minus damage, for a NY car. If you're patient and keep your eyes open, something will come along, otherwise you're gonna have to take Mykeys advice.
