  1. Meh, just unscrew the radiator drain plug and drain it. Will still be messy, just less so. Don't need to lay on the ground, you can reach it from the top. I would suggest replacing all the hoses. Did mine recently. I think you are hearing air in the system if you are losing and replacing coolant. Easy fix once you get your hose/hoses replaced.
  2. The end caps for the trim would be good as well. I have a pair but am missing the other pair.
  3. Kids and animals. Why we can't have anything nice.
  4. 5 speed and Weber = the two best upgrades you can do. Have both on my brat and love it. Need to 5 speed my wagon someday......
  5. Not quite sure what exactly you are looking for but i think '82 was the only year for the gen2 single square, even the DL's. What vehicle are you looking to put these on?
  6. Really can't help on the seats but, from personal experience, some good quality sheep skin seat covers do wonders for comfort.
  7. Ricey= that loud BRAAPPP BRAAPPP you hear from a crappy lowered Honda some kid is driving and you are immediately annoyed.
  8. I wonder if anyone has made the testicle bet and paid up.
  9. Give it a dose of Seafoam as well. I usually don't go for additives but that stuff actually works.
  10. After sitting 15 prolly want to rebuild the carb. Better yet, Weber it.
  11. Running Magnaflow on my '85 Brat. Fairly deep (for an EA81) tone, not excessively loud (ricey), while giving me a quiet ride. Quite happy with it.
  12. A flexible exhaust tube runs up from the exhaust to the bottom of the horn on the air cleaner. Meant to send warm air up to the carb to prevent icing i believe.
  13. No A/C, good pressure. Heats the entire car and I very rarely run the fan on high. Maybe if I drive with the window partially down in the winter (truck driver habit) will I crank it up. I'm gonna take a look at mine tomorrow as I "think" there is a vaccum operated air intake flap for the heater on the pass. side up under the dash. I suspect you may not be getting enough air, or, the lever that switches from A/C to DEF. and all in between is not controlling the flaps properly. You could always pop the duct connected to the blower on the pass. side as it's easy to get to and see if you get more pressure that when it's connected.
  14. Make sure all your ducting is intact and your mixing flaps are working properly. I have an '84 wagon that i could bake cookies in.
  15. $750.00 to rebuild your carb???? FULL STOP! NEVER go back to that shop!! You can do this yourself. IMO one of the easiest upgrades (Weber) you can do.
  16. For some reason i've always liked the Rabbits, especially the pickups.
  17. A friend if mine long time ago lived in his '60's converted van. He rented a small warehouse/shop that had a bathroom with a shower. Parked inside, used his van as his bedroom. Lotsa fun parties there....
