  1. I think Florida shipping would kill me.
  2. Don't worry. It's easier than it looks and worth it. Both my '85 Brat(came with it) and '84 wagon(did myself) have webers.
  3. Going to be doing the brakes all around on my '85 Brat. Any brand(s) I should be staying away from or should use? I figure i should stay away from the super cheap pads and parts. Thanks!
  4. never. i do get lots of thumbs up tho. funny thing, a guy and his wife were going by me in their blinged up escalade. he was rubbernecking the hell outta my brat while his wife never noticed. no way in hell will your wife allow my brat in your driveway dude, i was thinking to myself. brats are a special case i think.
  5. Installed a replacement ignition switch (Thanks Ed!). Was using the ol'dangler pictured below. looks worse than it actually was. Wife got me a spare tire cover. Got some new tires. I definitly need a new cluster ring. Pretty badly cracked. And unfortunatly i may need a new instrument cluster. Also have to fix my steering wheel pad. Manual said to just pull it off. Old plastic snaps didn't like that.
  6. how did you get the badging off without breaking them?
  7. Nice job TOMCAT. You do all that stitching yourself? I personally would have went with a much darker blue but to each his own.....
  8. What did you do? I need to fix the same in my '85 brat. Every replacement ignition i have come across hasnt been any better than what i have. My '84 wagons ignition is on it's way out as well.
  9. Looks like mine! i'm in Oregon as well.
  10. Not what "I" did but just had a front end toe adjustment (Schwabbie) on the Brat. OMG what a difference! Was chewing the hell out of my tires. Even better, was done no charge!
  11. Hi! Use the search function and you will come across more info than you ever wanted to know about axles. You are about to become very familliar with them!
  12. Check out http://rockauto.com . Really good prices. Got my EMPI axles for my '85 Brat thru them. Ball joints and tie rod ends were 1/3 the price of the local parts store. Even with shipping it still was a lotta savings!
