  1. Changing the oil in my '84 wagon and '85 brat and noticed they require different FRAM oil filters. Both EA-81's. I really can't notice a difference in either. My guess is a small change in oil pumps or it's a FRAM thing and there is no difference and both filters will work. No biggie just one of those small things that nag at me, kinda like walking with a grain of kitty litter in my shoe.
  2. Men, i'm sorta indifferent about wheels and such anyways. Creature comforts is more my thing.
  3. Yeah you're right. been looking around and that car does not match any GT's i've come across. Thanks for the heads up.
  4. Really. how can you tell? the hood? Good to know this stuff befor i go in. Really don't know much about new gens. this is my first new gen post!

  6. Really motivates me. I really want mine to look someting like that. It will get uglier befor it gets prettier....i like the stripes....
  7. Or know who does? It's just off 42nd in Springfield. Maybe it's just missing the passenger fender and not the entire front clip. All i see is the passenger side from the street. Wanna go ask about it but thought i would inquire here first.
  8. I like to run lights around x-mas holiday time!
  9. I changed the bulbs on my Brat. I also took a red felt marker and colored the back side of the guages for a little extra. Note i also did my light/wiper/heater controls. If there was a bulb i changed it!
  10. Had an incident at work. A company was doing some storm drain work for the city just on the other side of the fence where i and others park. They were sealing the drain with a resin much like the stuff boat hulls are made out of when something happened and the blew a ton of this stuff into the air and on my and another guys cars. I didn't find out until i got back from my route and by then it had already set. It's a little hard to see the extent of it in the pics but this stuff is EVERYWHERE! Most is like a mist covering the car. Quite a few large globs too. Tried to remove a glob of it, it brought the paint up with it. Should be able to remove it from the glass i hope. I am worried about the ************ on the emblems. I will be suprised if their insurance doesn't try to screw me. I talk to them Tuesday.
  11. My '85 does the same thing! I still haven't figured it out. Fuses are good. I kinda like it, i have a clock on the stereo so i use the in dash as a trip timer. I shall watch this thread closely.....
  12. Actually i'm 3 hrs south of P-town. WOW it's been just over 2 years and still puttering around great and no you can't have it back!
  13. Thanks. I'm gonna keep working at it and hope i can pop the barrel. Starting with a screwdriver really aggravates my OCD.
  14. I've searched with no real satisfactory answer. I have a replacement but can't seem to remove the current one. Am i stuck replacing the whole damn thing? Not looking forward to that.
  15. Oakridge, OR. About an hour east of Eugene/Springfield.
  16. LETS SEE SOME PICS! HERE ARE SOME OF MY '85. AND XMAS FESTIVUS.......
  17. That's just to make sure the hoses didn't get reversed sometime in the cars life.
  18. Did that. Correct order. Have my '84 wagon as a model and it is a blast furnace! Wagon does run hotter than the brat. New T-stat next weekend. Can't hurt right? Thanks anyways!
