  1. '85 brat. Runs great. Heater blows piss warm to cold (while moving). Coolant flows easily thru core, no leaks. All knobs and cables are hooked up and operational. Just did a system flush and coolant change. I'm suspecting thermostat now, or lack of one. It's all i have left. Engine runs just a little on the cool side (NEVER reaches half way) but is rock steady. Am i missing something?
  2. I really wanted one of the CrewMax (even larger rear passenger area) Tundras but too much $$ for me. If you go take one for a spin you will be comming home with it! They really drive that nice. Then for ************s and giggles go try an F150. I didn't try any other brands to make a comparison.
  3. Love it. Except for having a payment for the first time in 5 years.:-\ Still figuring mileage since they list all Tundras 15/19 to 15/20. Not much of a worry for me since it's not my daily. Drives and handles beautifully. Very comfy interior. Body roll in the corners is virtually non-exist. Super tight (suprised me for being such a large truck) turn radius. A very smooth and quiet ride. Great throttle and braking response. The short nose makes tight navigation (parking lots) a lot easier. I wish the guages were not so deep set, it's like looking down a tunnel! But thats minor and i can live with it. Everything else is very user friendly. I test drove a same year F150 and the Tacoma was really a superior truck. The Ford, while definitly a nice truck, was more sluggish, required lots of turning room, and basically came in second to all the things i listed above.
  4. Last new rig i bought was also on july 3rd. Wife now says i am not allowed anywhere near a dealership during the July 4 weekend! It's an '07 w/ 27k miles. I also looked at an '07 F150, while definitly a nice truck, the ride, handleing, comfort level, and throttle response (It's a BEAST!) of the Tundra was definitly superior to the F150. Oh, and got it at a really good price! It will be getting a canopy.
  5. Hey! If i remember right, we are very close on the day. I'll be on my 41st as well. I'll raise a glass to ya Cancer Monkey!
  6. I will sell you my winning ticket. It will require a 2k processing fee up front to complete the transaction. i will pm you with the proper bank routing numbers to send the money.
  7. I had one saved on my old computer, which is gone, now i can't seem to find it on the site or my search parameters suck. If someone could point me in the right direction i would appreciate it! -john
  8. Your wife takes pics of old soobs for you? That one's a keeper!
  9. Nice! How sweet a deal we talkin'? I also have an '84 wagon that's begging for a 4" lift and a 5 speed. Would love a 6" but thats too much angle for the amount of driving i plan to do. How's the interior? Looks pretty straight, should clean up nicely.
  10. You also got a good story to tell us and something to give your work a hard time about for the rest of your employment there. All in good fun of course, Heheheh!
  11. Nice! Gotta love a roll bar! What are those seats out of? which one is more comfy? I do alotta driving in my Brat so i like my butt to be as comfortable as possible.
  12. 1. Checked all my controls, everything is properly adjusted and working correctly. 2. All hoses, inside and at the firewall, are very hot and stay that way thru all settings. 3. Not sure how easily coolant is supposed to flow thru the core, but it does flow. Will pop the hoses on the wagon and see if the flow is any different. 4. Thanks for all the imput guys!
  13. Flushed the core, no change. I'll probably take it in for an entire system flush & coolant change. I really hope a new heater core is not in order. My '84 wagon blows damn near SCALDING hot!
  14. Heh, i'll try that. PARTIAL blockage never occured to me. I tend to have an all-or-nothing personality.
  15. My heater on the '85 Brat is blowing too cool. Blows fairly warm at first for about the first 20 t0 30 seconds. I've checked the knobs and cables, all the mechanicals are in working order. i've checked all the hoses Under the hood, and the heater ones under the dash too, they are hot, so water is getting thru so i don't suspect any blockage. No leaks or smell of coolant. Temp. guage is in working order and temp. is where it should be. I am suspecting the waterpump even tho i am getting no leaks or any odd/shouldn'tbemakingthatnoise sounds. i popped the radiator cap and noticed that the coolant appeared to not be circulating but just sitting there. Odd thing is, everything works just fine except for the temp. of the heat comming out of the heater!
  16. Weber. I hear the SPFI conversion really kicks rump roast! Never done the SPFI myself but have thought about it.
  17. Dude, i soooo hope the orange light works!
