  1. I would go with what is recommended for your car. That should be fine. Hell, you being in Texas, you could most likely run without one and be just fine, just take a little bit longer in the winter to warm up.
  2. Nice clean wagon! You should be fine with a 2" lift. I have a 4"/3" lift and put a couple hundred miles a week on with no probs.
  3. Follow the top (passender side) radiator hose from radiator to the engine.
  4. I love those '82's. Good score. once finally get to work on my wagon and get it whete i want it, a hatch may be in my future.
  5. Awesome Brat! Unfortunatly it's just a pile of rust now. Did he sell it whole or part it? It was on Ebay a few months ago.
  6. I had the same problem on my '81 Brat. Turned out to be a bad ignition switch.
  7. Get yourself a known runner, drop it in, and your good to go. simple!
  8. HUBBA HUBBA!!! can we see the inside and under the hood????
  9. ^ yup. check the oil pan also. make sure everything, oil pan, valve covers, exhaust bolts, are snug. nothing an open end wrench and a phillips can't fix. hopefully... and yes you are missing an exhaust bolt.
  10. got my new blades on. filled up the washer res. with Rain-X. sealed up a couple of leaks this summer. yeah, people always seem to forget how slick the roads are after those first few rains. thinking of upgrading to brighter headlights and putting on some foglights. i do most my driving in the dark.....
  11. if i understand that gibberish correctly, then YES.
  12. i used the old carpet as a pattern. just cut it larger than the original to give me some wiggle room. i actually did it two pieces with the seam running door to door under the seats, like the original carpet. i think the real key(s) was using that thick padding (it's the stuff used in houses) a hot glue gun, and a little patience. the carpet is from a home improvement store. look for automotive carpet. most should carry it.
  13. seriously considering moving the door speakers. the seat muffles the hell out of them.
  14. ya' know the more i see of those round lights the more i like 'em. i will have to do some thinking on converting my '85 brat..... what are those out of? nice rides guys.
  15. i tried some awhile back. srsly i don't think todays rocks are the same. i remember back in the day pop rocks damn near exploded! now, not so much. seems to be more fizz than pop. could just be me being older....
  16. not quite the direction i intended this thread to go, but alls good anyways.
  17. you gonna be rollin' today? anyways is that air filter one of those K&N style ones or disposable? i have not been able to find disposable ones anywhere! but then those drooling mongoloids behind the counter are rarely helpful. if disposable where did you get it???
  18. O'Gradys Au-Gratin potato chips. good gawd those extra thick chips were the best! i miss the wax Halloween candy. those wax lips and the Kool-Aid filled bottles/pan pipes. many musicians who went too early. Bobs Hamburgers. you know! candy cigarettes. in the winter it looked like you were actually smoking. so cool, or so we thought! Drive-in movies!
  19. i dunno but i would think you should be able to use the weather stripping you get from home improvement places. you know, the kind that goes around doors to seal gaops and such. and it's probably hella cheaper. nice brat BTW and lets see the Opel!
