  1. Are you reusing the window gasket or did you get a new one? I need one myself but finding one is a PITA.
  2. Next to the battery there is a rectangular grey box. Pop the grey cover off and check the three wires inside.
  3. Well, I personally have a few quirks if that helps.
  4. Nope, running fine, nothing odd. For an '84 and '85 that is a quirk.
  5. Five posts in and no one has said "GO WEBER"? Fine, I'll say it. "GO WEBER"! C'mon guys, y'all be slipping!
  6. My '84 was doing the exact same thing and it turned out to be vac.
  7. Love it! Noticed the van in the garage. Into vw's as well??
  8. Hey, mine is in there! But I think you have EVERY Brat anyways......
  9. Sexy Baja! That plasti-Dip stuff is great. Holds up really well. I used it on my Brat front bumper/grill 2 years ago and still looking good. hasn't faded, peeled, or chipped and I put a couple hundred highway miles a week on it. Will be curious to see it on a whole car as I've been thinking/needing to paint the Brat. I'll be watching....... (< creepy?)
  10. Greetings! We have an American board member heading your way for some adventures.
  11. Even better! Did all that damage with my fingers. I have some POR-15 on the way. http--,,--//
  12. Well, this sucks. Started poking around with my fingers on what looked like a small rust spot on the Brat. Turned into this..... http--,,--//
  13. http--,,--// http--,,--// Added another to the collection. Think I may use this decal scheme on my brat. Swap out some of the brand decals for more relevant ones.
  14. Replaced the crusty heater hoses on the '84 wagon. Originals, surprised (lucky?) they lasted this long.
  15. Parts are getting harder to find, especially for us Brat (Pretty much any gen2) owners. I'd offer 3 for it and park it out back. Be nice to have something to go to when I need some stupid little part, which seems to be constantly.
  16. Yeah, just did the t-stat in the wagon. Gave the heater hoses a tug/squeeze (that sounds dirty!) and felt some crunching. Prolly haven't been replaced in 30yrs. At least I haven't. Given the recent heat wave I wont be driving her till I fix that.
  17. Put shims on my rear shocks i replaced a couple months ago. NO MORE ANNOYING KNOCKING!
