jonas replied to jonas's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
more sanding on the Brat, ugh. not sure if i'll get any filler in today. if not, will have to wait until next weekend. too busy working (out of town mostly) all week to get anything more done, but we'll see.... :-\ -

not bad, just some surface rust where the smoother is seperating. got it chipped out, waiting for rust killer to do it's thing. would eventually like to replace the door, but 'till then this will have to do. it will have to be a near prefect door for me to even bother. this one isn't too bad, but the bottom of it is getting there. again just light surface rust. as we all know, thats how it starts! again, appears to be some more seperation on the drivers rear quarter. i will be attacking that one soon! more updates to come......

anyone know if you can get those covers in the States? just curious. would end up being a rain water retainer in this area..... would be pretty sweet in a drier climate...

they also make colored waxes that will fill scratches pretty well. like audio said it all depends on how deep. your car being white helps as scratches are harder to notice...............

Anyone installed an EA82 sunroof?
jonas replied to Andy FitzGibbon's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
i've always thought it would be cool to put brat t-tops on my '84 wagon. would seriously compromise the structural integrity of the wagon i imagine. -
good to hear.

i just remove plug #1 place finger over hole, use a socket wrench on the front of motor to turn it over. when you feel pressure, you know your on compression stroke. you may have to go around a few times to get it. its east to crank motor w/ the wrench. disconnect battery of course...

Getting a soob soon, and making plans

yes. only Portland and Medford have emissions testing or any sort of vehicle inspections. however, Police can write you tickets if your glass is too badly cracked and how bad is at their descretion. you'll most likely just be a cop magnet. -
