  1. no wave but i do park next to the older soobs every chance i get. have come out of places to find a soob parked next to me.
  2. had some snow round these parts the last couple of weeks. soob did great in the stuff. only reason i put the chains on was that i had to drive 50 or so miles at 1:00 am. already wrecked one car this winter due to ice. slid into oncomming '04 Dodge Quad Cab Ram at 55 mph in a '96 Nissan Sentra and didn't get a scratch! very sore for a couple of days tho. anyway enjoy!!
  3. sorry my bad. i thought you were just wanting to reolace the switch not the entire housing. THAT is a real pain in the rump roast. it is held on by 2 rivits that you will have to drill out in order to get it off the collum, and remove the steering wheel.
  4. not that difficult really. make sure you disconnect your battery. hardest part for me was disconnecting the harness under the dash. really hard to pull apart.
  5. wow, 3 motors! so i'm guessing they're reasonably priced v.s the savings of doing it myself. i just may have to give them a call. i'm only in the planning stage right now.
  6. my EA81 is getting tired. have a used spare but thinking of just going with a fresh one. was going to rebuild myself but would rather not go thru the hassle. i'm weighing swap used spare, rebuild, or CCR. i would like to have the HP. bumped up for future lift/bigger wheels/tires.
  7. HAHAHAHA!!!! i damn near snarfed coffee on my keyboard!
  8. after re-reading your first post i am pretty certain it's your u-joints that are the main problem.
  9. only thing i can think of off hand is maybe it's getting twisted while being installed? the joint can seperate inside the boot if you have to pull it back out to realign the pin holes.
  10. u joints, cv's, and get your tires rebalanced and checked for seperation. my '84 wagon had same vibration prob. fixed those things now vibration is at a bare minimum. use "new" cv's, not the remans as that is why i think mine still has a slight vibration. when my remans wear out i will be putting virgin cv's on. GD has a link to an outfit to get those at i think. even if your u's seem fine, pull 'em. mine felt solid in the axle but when i pulled them they fell apart in my hand. was only $10.00 for new ones so a cheap fix.
  11. i do. meth. sounds like classic tweaker "upgrades" to me.
  12. GD speaks truth. JY's are your best friend. you will find things you didn't even know you needed. example of this: i'm picking up a set of rear discs for my wagon next weekend for $60.00 and they are in beautiful condition. happened to come across a matching '84 wagon like mine while ratting around. now i don't need them but i'll be claiming the perfect tail, side marker, and signal lights off of it. not cause i need them but i like having spares of those. glass is perfect (except windshield) may get glass too if price is right. point is spending a little time in a jy will save you a lot of $$. luck to ya.
  13. never heard that one before. personally i never put anything in my engine that isn't supposed to be in it. i would just go with a fresh oil change.
  14. Gee, where have i seen that before?? oh yeah, last weekend under my hood!! well it's in there tight now!!
  15. exactly! bet you will never see mud on that truck!
  16. i wonder who would have the bigger repair bill after a day of offroading.
  17. i love that car! i've always wanted an XT6. someday.......
  18. i think that thing is totally effing cool!
