  1. Those bumpers look very Road Warrior-ish. Fitting since you are in Aus.
  2. I buy my filters and brake pads from this guy. http--,,--//
  3. Got this in the mail! http--,,--// http--,,--// Even has the jumpseats!
  4. "Everything is funny as long as it's happening to someone else" -Will Rogers
  5. The dryer is the "Thunderdome" for socks. "Two socks enter...."
  6. Hmm, I have something similar. My '84 Ea81 uses a different filter than my '85 Ea81. Same motor ('85 is hydro lifter), dunno why they are different. Am I be mor dum?
  7. Nice! I've seen it done with the stock EA81 air cleaner but not the 71. Been thinking about it myself. Wish I hadn't tossed the cleaner when I went weber.
  8. can you hear the fuel pump kick on when you turn the key on? You should hear a short burst. I haven't crawled under my brat for some time but I think there is a filter located next to the pump as well.
  9. Chuck it and go Weber. I know they $$, but they do pop up used on here. Someone may have one if you ask.
  10. Ok, all's good! Prolly just a little coolant spillage during change out, hence the white smoke.
  11. Smoke went away but I think it's the wrong t-stat. Car gets hot and the fan doesn't kick on.
  12. Got the wagon intake on. Fires up, but I have some white smoke coming out the tail. Gonna retighten and fortunately I have the brat to go off of.
  13. Got it at autozone. Around 12 bucks. Any parts store should have them. Posting on phone so not sure if pic is showing.
  14. Nope. Put LED signals on my '85 Brat. Was Blinking super fast, swapped it out with an electronic, all's good. Located behind the little speaker grill on the left side, pretty far back.
  15. Just change your flasher to an electronic one.
  16. Got the intake for the wagon prepped. http--,,--// Hoping to get it up and running today. Really happy getting all the old vac. crap from my Weber swap cleaned up.
  17. I just had a Magnaflow put on my Brat. Sounds nice. If the whole length is riddled with holes, then yeah, replace it. Patches don't hold well, I went that route for awhile, just got fed up with it.
  18. This may sound stupid, you prolly already have, but check the plug wires really good. At the disty cap and at the plugs. Couldn't get my Brat to start. Would crank and crank, flood out and/or drain battery trying to get started. Turned out ONE, yes ONE plug wire was fried at the cap. It's been years but I seem to recall the same thing happening on my '84 wagon, just at the plug end that time. Oh, and check for vacuum leaks. Kinda hard since you can't start it but look and makes sure lines are good/connected. Good luck.
