  1. Thinking about getting that harness. My headlights have 3 terminals on the outer lights and 2 on the inner lights. Do I have to replace all my lights to 3 terminal or just leave it be and go ahead and plug them in as is?
  2. Keep it single. Are you fabbing this yourself? Extra time, hassle, and $$ with no real benefit except to say "hey I have duals". Save your time and money for beer drinking!
  3. It's the junk tray from a gen2 standard (non slant) console. I used a chunk of faux wood window blind slat for the front plate. When I get the rocker switches I want i'll trim it for a better fit.
  4. Mounting the switches up top! left some room on the plate for adding more switches later. Had a couple crappy toggles sitting around, will be switching (pun!) to some nice rockers. http--,,--//
  5. Welcome! A pic of your subie in your first post! You'll do just fine here.
  6. Not exactly what I was thinking when I read the thread topic.........
  7. I go thru Clats. every week. I'll keep an eye out for the Brat!
  8. I've never used them but I've heard they do good work. One of the owners used to frequent this board. I know it's a lot of skrillage, but going thru CCR would make it a bit easier for me.
  9. It's the only one listed so I'm assuming it's the same I got for my Brat. I've had it in for a couple years with no problems. Keeping me toasty warm! The inlet/outlet pipes were just a teensie bit off but everything hooked up fine.
  10. Like a gopher in soft dirt, I'm diggin' it! Nice score.
  11. I can't give you cost comparisons, but because it's a Brat I would stick with the EA81. I like the little buggers, simple and bullet proof. I wouldn't EJ my '85 Brat, but I would consider it for my '84 wagon if I ever needed a new motor. That's just me.
  12. Check VW shops. I've heard you can get round adaptors and filters but I haven't confirmed that.
  13. I have a 3" on my '85 Brat. I've had to replace several front axles, moreso the passenger side. I've noticed it really seems to be the axles themselves, meaning the quality just isn't very good. Some last longer than others. I've had a couple come bad right out of the box. My parts place says they are new, not reman, but I have my doubts. Not accusing them of dishonesty as I suspect somewhere in the reman process an extra step is taken that allows them to call them "new". Not sure about that, I'm just talking out my rump roast on that part.
