  1. Scored these lights from stewartkb. He fabbed these himself. Pretty cool i think. Not hooked up yet, but i did get them mounted. Will get them operational next weekend. http--,,--// http://
  2. Mine bolted right on, no probs. I filled the water pass. with JB Weld and sanded it smooth.
  3. Cool, I learned something! Bantum, love the '76. So going with what I learned in this thread, if all wires and connections check out, I would take a shot at the switch. Leorob Let us know how you fix this.
  4. Maybe if you posted a pic of what you are looking at we could help more. "Squirrel nuts" made me laugh!
  5. These are what you should be looking for. http--,,--//
  6. Look for 2 plastic 4 pin connectors (like something that something would plug into) hanging or tucked in a bit. Maybe someone already pulled the relays. I can take some pics tomorrow of what you should be looking for. Mine is an '84 but shouldn't be too different.
  7. Not sure about the '81, but there should be two of them just to the left of the steering collum. Round and silver. No need to pull the dash. I doubt it's the relays anyways.
  8. Picked up this KILLER Alpine deck. Going in the Brat this week. http--,,--// http--,,--//
  9. http--,,--// Unmolested '84 wagon. Not a touring wagon. Looks like your trim just needs to be extended.
  10. Nice. I like the simple look. Most new stereos look like crap.
  11. Fried the stereo as well. Too bad, I really liked that head unit. Just a cheap Kenwood, but it was simple and easy to operate and not too "busy".
  12. New tie ends, ball joints, and a wheel bearing on the Brat. Have an alignment set for Monday.
  13. I FIXXED IT!!!!! Turns out it was the stereo. When someone before me put the stereo in they didn't cover/seal the extra wires that were cut. One or more of the exposed wires must have found it's way against some metal and was popping the fuse.
  14. Don't need the Ea82 mani. I filled mine in with JB weld. Works fine. You do have the adapter plate?
  15. Wasn't the switch. Stereo has been giving me problems (power or sound cuts out) off and on for awhile. Gonna take a looksie at that tomorrow.
  16. sorry, meant left. anyways, checked those and they are good. Waiting for switch to arrive as it will be a pita to re-hook up trailer wiring if that's not it.
  17. Those two just to the right of the steering collum?
  18. Ok, new thought. I have a replacement switch on the way but I doubt that's the problem. After crawling thru wiring with no obvious issues im thinking the little black box for the trailer wiring harness. So I'm going to disconnect the harness and put it back to stock. Wish me luck.
  19. Interesting. Having issues with my '85 Brat. I Have an idea on whats wrong but if not, that seems like an easy, inexpensive fix.
