I haven't seen a dual cable setup, but I would think you'd just need to extend the existing cables for each side to each brake handle. Using either cable clamps or something to attach the cables. You can see in this pic, there are two separate cables....and you could either have a bracket that attaches to the existing end and then just use another cable (or the same cable to go to each e-brake handle. http://main.experiencetherave.com/subaru/images/manualseatbelts/05/IMG_1127.JPG

Are you positive the timing belt is on properly? There are marks on the front of the crank gear that commonly get mistaken for the properly timing alignment mark. Is the ECU and everything grounded properly? That's honestly the only thing I can think of that would cause it to fry the cam sensor. The ECU grounds to the intake manifold on the back driver's side. Have you tried a different ECU?

Travis, Welcome to the USMB. I would recommend taking it to a good reputable Subaru shop. This thread has some similar issues, they mention spark plugs and just crud build up. http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/66-problems-maintenance/8563-p0172.html I think spending a little money for a shop to do a good diagnostic check/tests is probably worth the time and money rather then just replacing parts. Hopefully others can chime in with some additional info and maybe recommend a shop in the area.

Antenna Wire?
Legacy777 replied to 14D's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
Good deal! Glad you found it. The stock radio has about a 12" extension on it. It's not like the standard head units where the lead plugs directly into the back of the deck. -
Antenna Wire?
Legacy777 replied to 14D's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
The antenna wire goes around the driver's footwell area under the carpet. If you peel back the carpet you should be able to find it. -
There is a cap on the back side of the passenger side head that the cam will slide out. The driver's side cam comes out the front and there is a piece that unbolts from the head that allows the cam to come out. Before you do either of these things, the timing belt and covers have to come off as well as the valve covers and rocker assemblies. Here are some pictures of installing the cams in my ej22t. http://experiencetherave.com/subaru/images/ej22t_headwork/17

2004 Subaru Legacy Anniversary Edition?
Legacy777 replied to HilfigerSwaggar's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Yes it is a very true possibility that it would be cheaper just to buy a WRX and potentially could be less issues. You may want to check these guys out and see what they say. A friend in Houston had his 99 Impreza RS swapped with an STi. http://www.eastcoastswappers.com/ -
When I had similar issues it was that the trans input splines and clutch were not lining up. It sounds like you've tried rotating the shafts so they line up, so not sure that's the issue...even though it sounds like it. Out of curiousity have you tried putting the clutch on the trans input shaft when the trans is not installed? My thinking is just to verify that the clutch actually will slide over the input shaft splines. If you try rotating the engine, and the trans is in gear, do the cv axles/wheels turn at all?

Welcome to the USMB. I'm going to move your post to the old gen forum, it fits better over there and should get some more responses. -
2004 Subaru Legacy Anniversary Edition?
Legacy777 replied to HilfigerSwaggar's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Well the non-turbo engines are good, but would barely break 200 hp barrier even with a lot of mods/work. The better approach would be to do an engine swap with a WRX or turbo Forester. If you get an entire car and wiring, that would make things easier. There are a couple shops that do swaps like this. What part of the country do you live in? -
2004 Subaru Legacy Anniversary Edition?
Legacy777 replied to HilfigerSwaggar's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Welcome to the USMB. What are you looking to modify, what are you goals for the modifications, and how much money do you have/want to spend? Overall, the 04 Legacy is a good car, but it's probably not going to win any drag races. With some suspension upgrades it can probably handle better, but ultimately it depends on what your goals are and what you want from the car. -
Your best bet would be to look at some of the overseas ebay or other auction sites. Or probably the better option would be to find a generic or coil or coil pack from another car you could convert to. SLi would be a good place to also check out and maybe some of the Australian/New Zealand Subaru forums since they also got this model as an import car.
