  1. Welcome to the USMB. Looks like a good project.
  2. I'm sorry, I had a brain fart. On the non-turbo engines, it doesn't matter the orientation of the jiggle valve since the t-stat is oriented horizontally. For reference, on the turbo engines the t-stat is oriented vertically so the jiggle valve needs to be oriented in the 12 o'clock position. Hopefully these pictures help clarify that statement.
  3. For the non-turbo EJ engines the jiggle pin should be positioned in the 12 o'clock position.
  4. Welcome to the USMB and congrats on your new Subie!
  5. Welcome to the USMB! Yeah, Subaru's can really surprise you on their off-road capabilities. Check out the off-road forum and there are some old-gen 80's wagons that are lifted and have pretty substantial off-road modifications. Nice pictures too!
  6. Lee, Welcome to the USMB. I'm going to move your thread to the new gen forum since your question is more technical related. Hopefully someone there can help you.

  9. Welcome to the USMB and good luck with all that work
  10. Welcome to the USMB. Well since the WRX & STi are no longer offered in a hatch then you'll have to get a used one when they still offered a hatch version. That's about the only thing that will give you the HP goals you want to get unless you want to do a motor swap and lots of other work. BTW, to get 400 awhp, you'll need at least 450 hp at the crank. Not to discourage you, but to get those numbers you will need to invest decent amount of money into the car.
  11. Welcome to the USMB. If you don't find an answer here, I'd suggest checking out the SoCal forum on http://forums.nasioc.com/forums
  12. Welcome to the USMB! I'm going to move your thread to the new gen forum where it should get some more visibility.
