  1. Hi, i found the information you asked about. 84 fsm pg 3-80 fig 3-169. the rings are refered to as Riken , it shows the tab as upper rail and the tab points down inside the expander in one of the lo gaps in it. Also stopper pins, point toward each other on each bank. so 1&3 pins face each other and 2&4 face each other. the two compression rings should have a letter mark both to be facing toward top of piston. hope this helps some.
  2. Hi, I recently did my pump, same one as yours. I used Subaru # X2421AA000, only around 10-12 dollars online, i like to use orig parts when i can.

  4. hi, you can use a radiator intended for automatic trans just put rubber caps on the cooling outlets to the trans. They fit the car the same. the aftermarket can supply this they are still svailable. Online search! If you can find it, one with all metal tanks is preferred imo , but there were single , and double row cores so try to find the 2 row. I think any loyale year model will fit.
  5. Hi, i recently resealed my 1.8 pump,, kit# X2421aa000, was a good # and it had a o ring in between the plate and front body. the screws came out but was very tight. my 84 parts book has the pic you posted. i'm pretty sure the turbo is same as std 1.8 , part# for the oring is 8069 49030, size is 49.7x 3.5 , it was included in the kit. also another oring 8069 15050, 15.5x 1.5 is in there. it is behind the plate too, and a spring and ball.. your pic does show the extra oring. but my book also does not show it on the turbo page,, i think it's in there.
