  1. I've got a 1995 Subaru Legacy wagon with a cable clutch transmission. Anyway I need to find out for sure what geared transmission is in it 'cause I need to buy one. Transmission code: 87-TY752VAAAA I've found 2 different listings for subaru transmissions and one said 4.111 & the other said 3.900. So which one is it? thanks in advance for the help

Payment instructions: Paypal: largbrowneye@hotmail.com Mail: check/money order (make payable to Jason Bruce) at 7104 se 86th ave. portland, oregon 97266 Cash: Pick up orders only Let me know what size you want too.
  3. I kind of like the Jackman's so i think I'll keep them on, but clean them up and paint them.
  4. Okay so I haven't updated this lately, but I've been busy with other projects. This one is now my main focus. My goal (like lots of you on here) is to have it ready for the WCSS. So far I've got all of the drive train out and ready to install the AWD transmission. I'm also going to redo the engine bay too. I have a couple of small updates and tweeks I want to make all around the car too. I'll post stuff as I finish it.
  5. ya, I'm still going to do them. I'm just trying to work up some capital to fund the project. I will get on the ball with these soon though.
  6. I finally got to take the wagon on a test drive last weekend. It's a ton of fun to drive. It has a lot more pick up then I expected too. I'll snap a few photos tomorrow of the engine bay and maybe some video of it running. It sound great.
  7. I got this thing running today. I did a port and polish on the heads & port matched the intake manifold to the heads & the weber carb. It sounds really good now. I'm waiting on a thermo switch for the radiator so that I can hook up the fan (correctly) and put some water/coolant in the system, then I can take it for a spin. I'll post some photos of the engine bay as it sits now in the next day or so. I've been working on cleaning up some of the unnecessary items. I also got rid of that baulky old style fan and put in a slim fan.
  8. Never mind I got it hooked up and running. Sounds sweet.
  9. I was wondering if anyone had a photo or two of there coil wiring set up. I trying to put a 1980 EA71 motor into my 1978 Wagon, but the distributors and coils are a little different and I can't seem to get any spark. Here's the set-up I have:
  10. looks like it's off of an EJ18 motor.
  11. The ride is a little stiff. I can't wait to see how it drives with all four cylinders working.
  12. No jump seats, but I see them for sale all the time so you shouldn't have any problems finding them.

  13. I don't have any glass, but I do have a set of EA71 heads that have been rebuilt with new valves and springs if you're interested.

  14. That's it. This will be easy to do with the front e-brake too.
  15. Well I was going to use the clutch stuff from the wagon, but after I pulled it I found out the through out bearing was bad and it trashed the pressure plate. So I need to buy an all new clutch kit and through out bearing. Then I can drop the fresh motor in.
  16. I'm hoping to drop the freshened up EA71 motor in this weekend. I did a little home port and polish on the heads and intake manifold. We'll see if it makes any difference.
  17. update: So I should have the new motor put back together this weekend and maybe in the car. Also I just got the LSD in the mail so I'll start putting that in too. This should be a fun car.
  18. We can get together and talk about some of the stuff you want to put on the website then I can through one together for us.
  19. I'll be making it to WCSS this year for sure this year. I'm not sure what I'm going to bring. If I can get my AWD swap finished on the Hatch I'll bring that for sure, but if not I'd like to bring the BRAT so I can get Muddy. I'm sure the '78 wagon will not be finished by then.
