Got the new BRAT stripes installed. How do they look?
-
I've finished up with all the pen work. Now I have to scan it in and raster to vector the art, then add some color. It will be a four spot color job on dark shirts (black, blue, green & brown) I'll post the design after I have all the line & color work finished. I would like to have these up and finished by the beginning of December. (great x-mas gifts:grin:)

I was waiting till I got the BRAT stripe applied to snap a few more photos. I've just about got all the trim back on. The tires are mounted and on the BRAT. Yesterday I had to hunt down new wheel bearings and front axles. I've got the driver's side finished and today I'm going to put the passenger's side together. Then I'll start working on getting everything in the truck bed put together. I should have some photos by next week. This BRAT is really coming along. I'm still waiting for a gas peddle and heater control valve.

ya yes I know what you mean. I have a few I wished I would have kept too.

The original BRAT stripes were screen printed and mine are a process print so I can't print metallics, but we can make them grey. Let me know if you're still interested. -earl

78 BRAT w/blown HG: EJ swap into or rebuild the EA71.

Swapping in a D/R 4wd is super easy. I think the challenge is in notching the frame rails to fit the EJ. -
Bump for edit.

Thanks for the input. I'll be posting a new proof with some changes here in the next couple of days. Also RAugur33 I need to figure out a good time to pick up the exhaust system from you soon. I'm just about ready for it.

You know that you can fit all the junk behind the glove box. Then you can still use your glove box.

Right now I have now plans for a second run, but we'll see what happens in the next year or so.

The stripes should be finished tomorrow. I'll install a set on my BRAT then snap a few photos. I will only have 3 available so people will need to jump on these fast.

I'm working on some new BRAT shirt designs. Right now I'm just looking for some feedback on the design. It's suppose to be a rat fink style design. All opinions will be considered, but if your idea isn't used please don't be upset. So here's what I got:

Here are some photos of the progress so far. I'm trying to button up all the little stuff right now. Wheels Before: Wheels After: I'm just about finished under the hood: Here is the roll bar and push bar. I didn't take any before photos so just imagine that they looked just as bad as the rims: The decals should be finished tomorrow so I'll have those installed next week. Then I have to mount the tires and install the tailgate. Then just a couple little odds and ends then she's finished.

1st annual Subaru Brat Meet Washington State

I like the EA81 meet idea, but what if you have a first gen BRAT with a EA71? How about a Gen 1 & 2 show? -
Well I've got the push bar, roll bar & rims painted. I'll put up some photos after I have them all installed.

I'd be in if it was spring next year. -
Awesome!

Well I got it running today. I think I need to adjust the timing and valves, but it runs. When I was changing out the fuel filter I found a few badly cracked fuel lines so I got those all replaced too.

Cool. So the SPFI pump does work with the swap. I must have got a bunk one at the auto wreckers. At least you got it sorted.
