  1. I'll take it. Let me know how much with shipping to Portland, Oregon 97266 Also how you want to get paid. -earl
  2. I don't yet. I was going to see if a gen 2 would fit on it. If not the hunt continues.
  3. So I've almost got the interior completely finished. I still need a few small things & a stereo with speakers. Next is to work on the body and paint. BEFORE: AFTER: Next time you see it, it should have the body and paint finished. After that comes the motor.
  4. I've started on the BRAT. It's the tear down phase. I'm going to start and finish the interior first. I've got everything out and the small amounts of rust fixed. No holes in the floor board! I drop the BRAT off at the upholstery shop on Monday to get the carpet, back panel and kick panels done. This BRAT will look and smell like new on the inside. I should have it all put together by next weekend. I can't afford to do the seats right now so I'll just go with some good tan sheep skin covers. I'll post some before and after photos.
  5. Okay so I finally got the ride height the way I want. I had to pull the rear torsion bars and rotated them to the desired level, then put them back in. I also installed new brake lines, and started to bleed the brakes. I only got the back finished 'cause I think the EA81 caliper hose bolt doesn't work with the WRX brakes. I'll have to check it out tomorrow. After the brakes are finished it's time for the AWD swap. Right now it's RWD (fun)
  6. I had to go to my brother in Law's wedding that weekend. I was super mad I'll make it next year for sure. I don't think I could of had the hatch ready anyway. I still need to do the AWD swap. Looks like it was fun.
  7. I might have to do that once I really start tearing into the BRAT. I'll let you know. Thanks a ton, earl
  8. PM me your address so I can get your decals in the mail. Let me know if you have anymore sweet GEN 1 BRAT stuff you want to sell or trade. Like I said I going to put this thing back to very good stock form. This is a one year only BRAT and deserves to look it's best. Thanks, earl
  9. Heck yes! Brown is right, and you've got yourself a deal. Decals for good one?
  10. The interior is okay. The dash doesn't have any cracks, but the seats have some small tears in them and it's missing some stuff. So I'm looking for the center console part where the stereo is suppose to go. PM me is any one has one.
  11. I just picked this up for $400 last night. I have plans to fix her up real good. It runs and drives. I'm very excided to have the only year gen 1 BRAT that came with the EA81 running gear. I'll post photos of the progress along the way. Here are some as it sits now.
  12. Riddle canned.

  13. Thanks, I already have a great vendor on shirts.
  14. My EA81 control arms. I drilled them out to fit the ball joints. Then stuffed them with urethane bushings. (note: I did this in a 1982 Hatch)
  15. This is why I scrapped all of my XT6 stuff up front and just swapped in impreza WRX junk. Now I have a garage full of XT6 stuff. I think all I ended up using was the rear hubs and that's it. I'm going to through it all up for sale soon. I hope someone wants it.
  16. They bolt right up. I just had to file out the holes a little.
  17. Update: Well I've been very busy trying to figure out my strut options. I came up with some Volkswagen FK coilovers. It gives me the adjustablity I need to go from street to snow tires, and the rear is already adjustable so we're good to go. I'm just waiting for a couple of parts to show up. I also have got all the brakes sorted and the wheel wells painted with rubber sealant. Here are a couple of photos of the coilovers with the ea81 top hats: Here is the hatch at the lowest point (I haven't got the parts to raise it up yet):
  18. I haven't really figured that out yet. I'm going to try and see if I can just use some EJ axles. I know they are a bit longer, but only by an inch or so. This whole project has been a "see if it works" sort of thing.
  19. nope, but I paid next to nothing for them.
  20. Well I got the drivers side finished. Did I mention I really hate doing wheel bearings. Even with the right tools it's a pain in the rear. Here are some photos of the progress so far: Old and new (used) parts. Hole: WRX strut & spring with EA81 top hat: Painting the Legacy hubs & dust plates: Here's everything put together on the hatch: Then, BAM!!! WRX brakes!
