  1. Haven't made much progress yet. I'm still gathering bits and pieces. One thing I did just finish is the hood pins. Check 'em out. I think they match the car perfectly.
  2. You can come up with me. I'm driving up, but I'm not wheeling. I don't have an off-road beast yet. I'm just looking to camp out and maybe grab a seat with some of the other wheelers out. We can ride together or follow each other up. It's all ways best to travel with someone, 2 heads are better then one. Anyway the offer's out there. -earl
  3. I think that's why the guy started making the kit. It was for his Gen 2 BRAT. In fact I think I saw a photo of a Gen 2 BRAT on the 5-Lug page used as an example. So I'm pretty sure the kit will work for your BRAT.
  4. Check out our ebay store. We've been adding new stuff lately: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/bandercomindustries__W0QQ_armrsZ1 You can buy through ebay or just PM me directly. We can do discounts on multiple decal orders too.
  5. I know that the 2002 stuff I have will work.
  6. So when the 5 lug swap happens so will the AWD swap as well. Let's see so far by the end of the summer I should have: 5 Lug swap WRX brakes WRX struts Cool hood latches AWD transmission Power Steering This should be a fun project summer.
  7. The BRAT is next in line. I have a ton of parts for it, but I still need a few more before I get the lift on it. I also have an EJ22 for it as well.
  8. I'm working on testing some axle stuff out. As soon as I have something that works I'll let you know. As far as the ball joints go I can drill out the EA81 control are to accept the XT6 ball joint and the same goes with the steering knuckle to fit the EA81 tie rod ends. So the only real issue are the axles which I'm working on now. Also I'm working on ether a top hat swap or re-drilling for the shocks.
  9. Sure I'll get to it as soon as I finish the projects on my Hatch, Porsche & BRAT. You can pick it up sometime in the spring of 2020
  10. Here's what I've been working on. 5-lug swap WRX Rims WRX Brakes (cleaning & painting) Thanks to the nice weather I've been very busy working on the hatch. I also but new wheel bearings in the front & I blew a set of bearings out in my rear diff, so I'm replacing that too.
  11. I think we need odometer photos to prove the mileage before anyone is crowned Highest Subaru Mileage Champion.
  12. Check this link for information: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50400
  13. What are you going to do with the old axles? I'd be interested in buying them from you. I'm going to convert my Hatch to AWD and 5 lug wheels next summer (as you already know) so I could really use those axles. Let me know, I'm in no big hurry. Thanks, earl
  14. I got my 3rd switch in today. I made some decals to label them as to which set of fog lights they go to. Here's how they look:
  15. I pulled all the parts for a 5 lug swap from an XT6!!! I realize it's a bit of work to put them on my hatch but I'm doin' it.
  16. CRAP!!! That's the same weekend as my brother in Laws wedding in eastern Oregon. Looks like I'm out for this one, but I will be at the old school subaru get together the weekend before.
  17. Well now my reverse lights are stuck on all the time when the key in on. I'm going to have to crawl under the car and check the switch now. I hope that fixes it. I did manage to get the new backup lights wired up to the stock reverse lights. I don't think that cars would want to drive behind me if the lights were stick on all the time. Hmmmm that might be a good thing:)
  18. My 1982 4X4 Hatch came with one and the button says "Center Lamp" Also I have seen it with the 4 light set-up. I'm not sure if it's factory or not, but it looks good.
  19. I also finally got around to wiring up my 5 speed. I cut out my EA81 plug and wired in and EA82 plug. Just encase anyone else wants to know which wire goes where here is a photo. It wires up the reverse lights and 4WD low light. So from the EA82 plug to the EA81 Plug: (4WD low light) Light Blue with Red line - Black with Red stripes Green with Black line - Blue with Red line (Reverse lights) Black - Blue with Red stripes Black - Green with Red stripes The other two wires are not needed. They are for the neutral position sensor.
  20. I just ordered a set of these hood latches for my hatch. I can't wait to install them.
  21. A ton and you'll have to fabricate some parts too. If you're looking to put XT6 stuff on your rig. I'm wondering if you couldn't just have a machine shop weld up and redrill the EA81 hubs to match the 5 lug pattern.
  22. I've decided not to rebuild the rack, but I did install some new tie rods & ends.
  23. I'd paint the rims with the tires off. That way you can paint the entire rim (front, back and sides). Also after you've finished painting the rims I'd give them about 3 coats of wheel clear coat. I use duplicolor: http://www.duplicolor.com/products/wheel.html Also a couple of notes. If you're using metallic paint make sure that it isn't too cold when the paint is drying or it will crack. And do several light coats so that the metallic applies evenly (light coat, let dry, then apply light coat again). I've painted a ton of rims and these are lessens I've learned the hard way. If you take your time and do it right they will turn out great. Good luck and make sure to post some photos when they are finished.
