  1. You should also get a battery shut off switch. It's best to just bolt the battery box down. That's what I did.
  2. The wiring also goes through the fire wall near the heater core (I think it's just motor sensors).
  3. It loops in and out of the legacy. Just start pulling everything out, and you'll have to get into the driver's side fender as well. I found it to be easier to just take it off. Sorry no pic of the carnage.
  4. I'd love to see how everyone has set up their off road lights. I'll start:
  5. I've been wanting to do this with my ej swapped hatch. I also wanted to get the EJ22 heads ported and polished too, and get some aggressive street cams. I was also thinking about using ARP studs for the heads so I can really get them tighten down. My friend was thinking with that motor in my hatch I'd have a great power to weight ratio (It may be as quick as a 2002 stock WRX). It'd be great if someone could do a good write up on this build with photos. If no one gets to it before I do my build I'll try and put something together. Thanks for the post.
  6. Check this link: http://www.subaxtreme.com.au/ They are not cheap, but they are super cool.
  7. It's not really that hard or time consuming. I went to the junk yard and pulled fuel lines for EFI Subarus and it didn't cost me anything, and it took me all of 5 to 10 minutes to replace all the rubber lines in the car. Any job worth doing is a job worth doing right. I know you might be eager to get your car going but cutting corners now will be much more costly and time consuming in the end. Trust me, take the time.
  8. http://www.molallamudbog.com/Home.html Mike contacted me about going to this. Is anyone else down to go Muddin'? It might be kinda fun to through our Subies around in the muddy field, but I think we'll stay out of the mud holes (or at least I will). So come one come all and let's get some Subarus out in the mud.
  9. It looks so naked without BRAT stripes. I know where you can get a new set:brow: Check the link below to Subaru decals.
  10. Those are cool. I'm going to order a set for my hatch. I've been looking for some cool hood latches, but haven't really come up with anything on my own. Thanks for posting them.
  11. Ya yes wiring is fun. As long as you have a good friend who knows what they are doing.
  12. I put mine behind the glove box with some zip ties. Everything went back into place very nice.
  13. 1982 Subaru Hatch with '93 ej22 I'm working on getting this intake set-up to work.
  14. I can. Most EJ swaps are front wheel drive with a 4wd option, but you run around on the streets in FWD. It's not too bad hooking up. Check out my link below and you'll see my EJ Hatch that I built.
  15. I just added these to my ebay store today. They are vinyl decals to cover up the worn out graphics on your Mudflaps. You can purchase them through ebay or just PM me and I'll give you payment information. thanks, earl http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140292149373
  16. 1978 Subaru BRAT Swapped EA81 in Swapped 4sp D/R 4WD in Exhaust exiting out the fender We also put several other random subaru part on too. I just can't remember it all. It was pulled from a field. The guy I bought it from was parting it out, so I ended up with a stripped down BRAT with a bed full of crappy parts. Things I'm working on are swapping the rear end out to an EA81 set up so the I can put my SJR lift on it. I have a set of super swampers on pug steel rims and I'm still toying with the idea of putting a propane powered EJ22 in it.
  17. This is not my BRAT. I just like to save interesting car images and remembered that I came across this one on here a few months ago. Hope this helps.
  18. I told you to stop letting your boy drive. Every time it's the same result, BANG right into a tree.
  19. The power is great. I only wish I could get it to hook up. That's why I'm looking into switching to an AWD set-up. Sometime I have to put it in 4WD high to get a good launch in wet weather and up a hill, but man it's fun. I can't wait to take it up to the snow. I'm not too sure on the mileage 'cause my speedometer is off due to the larger tires, but I think I'm getting about 30 to 32 to the gallon.
  20. Actually it needs to be longer. (just so you know). I've done this same swap into my hatch. I just used all XT6 clutch and bearings with an EA82 flywheel, and I've had no problems yet. I think I've got like 3,000 miles on it now.
  21. I know that Mellow65 did this swap in his Legacy Rally car. I think he used a phase 2 EJ25 in it. I know he had some sort of issue with the cold start switch, but other then that he used the EJ22 wiring harness. I'd ask him though, he'd lead you in the right direction.
