  1. Well the injectors are louder. Almost like you have a bad lifter, and depending on the exhaust system (B&B being the most popular) it's kinda like a higher pitch V8. There's a 2007 GT3 that races in my auto cross that's super loud, it's so loud that the guy running the gate has to plug his ears every time the guy takes off. Porsche's sound very beefy though. It would be an interesting swap. I know guys are swapping WRX motors into 914's and Porsche motors into VW vans, but I've never heard of a Porsche motor in a Subaru. You should do it. Would you go air cooled or water? Turbo or non?
  2. you can try this guy. http://www.thewerkstatt.com/
  3. I think your main problem is cost. Porsche motors are not cheap, and maintenance is ridiculously expensive. They are nice motors though (I have one). I think basic tune up parts for mine is $300 a pop. That's for a basic tune up.
  4. Sure, just give me $10,000 and we have a deal.
  5. I know that's what you suggested a bit ago. It's just that I don't have a welder and I know that your super busy and I'm already like 100 favors deep to you. I just feel bad having you help me so much. Maybe I'll grab an extra set of control arms from the junkyard today and I'll leave that as an option 'cause ether way I'll need you to help me. If I use the blocks I'll need your help building a new pitch stop. Man I really need to buy a welder.
  6. Why are you putting all that work into the motor? I thought you were going to put an EJ in it.
  7. Update: Well everything seems to be running fine. I have developed a bit of a squeak in the through out bearing. A little annoying, but livable. I need to rebuild the entire front end of the car though. Everything is loose and worn out. New wheel bearings, bushings, struts, ball joints, axles ect. I'm going to go through the whole thing. I guess after 24 years it's time and I don't want to keep patching crap together on it anymore. I also found out that Autozone is selling the ajustable struts now so that's way cool. I do need a little help figuring something out. What can I do to fix the negitive camber in my front wheels? I though about having some small 1"-1.5" plates make to go between the crossmember and the frame, but that seems to be a big P.I.T.A. I was wondering if there is an eazyer way.
  8. They were handing those out at the WCSS10. What a great read, it was the first time I've ever read a magazine from cover to cover.
  9. Thanks, it came out really cool. I spent a lot of time making the plaid pattern from scratch.
  10. I'm installing it on my '78 BRAT (EA81 running gear).
  11. Thanks for that. The kit looks great I can't wait to install it.
  12. I was thinking 26 to 202. Looks like the most direct route (87 miles & 1h 54m drive time). It could take longer for those without an ej under the hood.
