  1. We just opened an ebay store account and have put up some of the Subaru decals that we offer. Please keep checking back 'cause we'll be adding more every week. http://stores.ebay.com/bandercomindustries_W0QQ_trksidZp284.m184QQ_trkparmsZits%3DS%252BI%252BSS
  2. I think I'm going to mount the surge tank on the inside passenger fender wall in the engine bay and mount the HP fuel pump next to it on the same wall. I'll leave the other pump where it is and have it pump into the surge tank then pump out of the surge tank into the motor, then out of the motor back into the surge tank and finally out of the surge tank back into the main fuel tank. In theory that should work, but I guess we'll see.
  3. So what would my total cost be? I'm thinking that I might just mount it where the jack was located on the inner passenger side fender. Then mount the HP pump next to it.

    Mudding!

nice rig:) I think it's time for a lift and bigger tires...
  5. Update: So I went to the junkyard last weekend to get a few things to finish up this project. Bumper brackets, high pressure fuel lines, fusible link set-up from and EA82 and a 12 volt point from a Chevy berretta. I managed to get both the EJ and EA wiring harasses cut down and taped up. I fed all the wires though the cab of the car into the engine bay and plugged everything up that I could. I still need to connect the main wires but everything is sitting where I want it to be. Once I get all of my wires connected I’ll try and fire it up. If it runs then I’ll start to put the interior back together. Needless to say I didn’t get to take it around the block last weekend, but maybe next weekend. It's not as bad as it looks. I'm trying to make the engine bay as clean as I can so when I'm finished it looks factory installed. Trying is the key word here:)
  6. sjrlift has the pitch stop adaptor on it. I wish that was available when I did my swap. Now I have to rig something up. Just something to take note of.
  7. That's what I thought. So one is all wheel drive and one is 4WD (to the best of my knowledge there is a difference between the two)

    Mudding!

    I have a few...
  9. I thought that the all-wheel drive loyales only came in automatics and the 5-speeds where push button 4WD.
  10. Update: Well I just got the radiator put back in and hooked up. I've started to clip down my wires (both from the EA and EJ harness). I've also started to lay all of my wires out along the engine bay. I've also decided to mount the ECU in under the passenger side dash, just behind the glove box. It looks like everything will fit perfectly there. I also went and purchased everything I need to put the wires together correctly. I do seem to have a draw of power coming from somewhere. I have yet to investigate but I'll have to address it soon. I'm hoping to have it put together enough to take it for a spin around the block this weekend. I also need to get the damn thing out of 4WD. It got stuck when I installed the shift linkage and I can't seem to get the bugger out. I figure I'll try driving it around and giving it a tug then. (the 4WD lever that is)
  11. I'm not sure. I just hooked the one wire that ShawnW labeled as Tachometer up.
  12. So I have located the black wire coming out of the EJ's ECU labeled tachometer on the wiring diagram and connected it to the solid yellow wire that came off of my EA's coil and my tachometer still doesn't work. Is there something else I need to hook up or what am I doing wrong? thanks, earl
  13. So is it necessary for me to try and rig up my pitch stopper in my EA81 hatch after I'm finished with my EJ22 swap. What will happen if I don't? If I do need it then can I get some advice on how to rig it up? thanks, earl
  14. ya, thanks. I just got around to painting the door jams the other day. Oh, and getting it running.
  15. IT'S RUNNING, IT'S RUNNING, IT'S RUNNING!!!!!!!!:banana: It only took about 2 years. A very big thanks to Matt (aka mellow65) for helping me with the F-ing wiring. now the clean up begins.
  16. I hooked up my wiring harness today that I got from ShawnW and it didn't work. (not saying that he did anything wrong, but I'm a little slow when it comes to wiring). I wasn't even able to get power going to the relays. I took a few photos of the wires I wasn't sure about. Any insight would be great. There were two wires marked for battery power, one marked for ground and one marked ignition power. Does that sound right? I just thought there should be more power and ground wires.
  17. I'll get under my car and try to figure out where I want the thing and come up with some kind of drawing that I can scan in and email to you.
  18. I wish I could buy something like that. (interested in making some money?)
  19. So I went to tap plastics with my pattern and they wanted $85.00 to cut it out so I'm not going to go that route. I did manage to find the perfect material. Its call ABS and it’s a very durable 1/8" think plastic. What also great about it is that it come in a textured pattern that almost matches the original interior so it should blend it well. I'm going to cut the pattern out of vinyl and stick it on the material then very carefully cut it out using my dremel tool. I bought 2 pieces just in case the first one turns out like crap. I should have it all fabricated by tomorrow and I'll post some photos and give my opinion on the substrate as well.
  20. Oh, that's just what I needed to know. Thanks for the information.
  21. Here is what I'm going to fab up for the center dash piece. I didn't have enough room for the retractable cup holders so I'll have to figure something else out for that. Now I'm thinking about having it cut out of Acrylic at tap plastics. I just need to see if I can get a matte finish on it.
  22. did you place it before or after the fuel pump?
  23. I was thinking the same thing. I remember seeing your switch panel at the WCSS last year. It was very nice work. Those foil type vinyls never last that long. Even if you buy the outdoor type it's only good for a couple years. Oh the good 'ol thermal transfer Gerber Edge machine. I've spent many a year on that machine. Great for spot color jobs but sucks for process color jobs. We're in the process of saving up for one now for our shop. Spendy little buggers, but so worth it for short run screen print look decals.
  24. So I should hook up a surge tank to avoid the whole stalling out thing.
