  1. I have a 1990 loyale turbo and the oil pressure drops all the way down to 0 after it's been warmed up. I replaced the oil pump and the sending unit, but nothings helped. I get great pressure when it's cold and for about the first 10-15 miles then it goes down. If I rev the motor up really high I get about 10psi. Anyone know how I can fix this or what the heck the problem is? thanks, earl
  2. Well I'm going to give it another week or so and if I don't get any takers then I'll just call this thing a bust and not produce them. (12 hours of my time wasted). Maybe my gen 1 brat stripes will do better. I modeled them after this BRAT.
  3. FINISHED SEE LINK: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?p=650660#post650660
  4. Well I've finally finished them. These are Subaru desert fox stripes that I've scanned in and recreated in vector art. I've adjusted the sizes so that I can make sets to fit All Gen II model Subaru’s (BRAT, Hatch & Wagon). I can't really determine a price just yet because I need to know how many people are interested and do some kind of group buy. The more orders I get the cheaper they'll get, but just for a ball park figure you're looking at about $100 to $200 a set. They are printed on a solvent printer using a high quality 3M™ self-adhesive Controltac Vinyl with Comply. Thickness 3 mils plus laminate. Let me know if you have any questions.
  5. Great work. I can't wait to see it all finished. I did an ea81 swap on my 78 brat. Less work, less wires, less power, less cool, but still fun. Please keep posting photos. Are you doing the swap on the yellow brat you brought to WCSS7?
  6. I know that both of them fit on my 1990 loyal turbo (rear disk). I just can't believe that I fount 2 brand new sets sitting in the back of a wagon at the junkyard. They were still wrapped up. I can't wait to put them on my freshly painted rims. I'm going to give the other set to my buddy. So I guess that the smoother one with the bigger logo in the center are from gen 3 subarus and the other is from a gen 2.
  7. I went to the junkyard today to look around and found 2 brand new sets of center caps and lug nuts. The center caps are different so I wanted to see if anyone knew why. I thought Subaru only made one style of center cap.
  8. These are for gen 2 BRATs. $50.00 a set (+Shipping) I have: 2 sets of white left
  9. ya, I triple checked it. I'm going to mess around with it this weekend and see what I come up with.
  10. I'm getting desperate and grabbing at straws here so I'm going to try everything I can to get this thing running. It might seem like a long shot but maybe in the process I'll find the real problem.
  11. Hmmm, a lot of very interesting theories. I guess I'll switch all the timing gears over to the 3 plug system just in case then if that doesn't work I stair at the wiring some more.
  12. I poked around a bit and didn't find the thread so I just posted the same question on that message board.
  13. no, but the motor ran when I pulled it.
  14. I've noticed that some ej22's come with 2 plugs (coming from the motor and connecting to the main wiring harness) and some come with 3 plugs. Why is that? I know it has nothing to do with the transmission (auto vs. manual), the only thing I can see at the junk yard is that the 2 legacy's that I found with the 2 plug system are 1992's. I reason I'm asking is that the ej22 that I put in my hatch was a 2 plug system and the wiring harness that was installed is a 3 plug system (swapped the intake manifold to make it a 3 plug system) but I can't get the motor to run and I'm wondering if the cam pick ups on the back of the gears are different on a 2 plug system vs. a 3 plug system. It seems more and more that I have a timing issue rather than a wiring issue so by swapping out the cams from a 3 plug system on to my motor might solve my problem, but I have no idea what the plug differences mean. thanks, earl
  15. Here are some of the photos I took at the show. Enjoy:)
  16. well I called rallitek and I'm taking my rig in this Thursday to get the wiring finished. If they can't figure it out then it's a lost cause.
  17. I know I don't. and take that photo of my car off of you name. TuRD
  18. ah yes, and some one got shot at the phone booth right outside there a couple of months ago. Man I love my neighborhood. I'm down with the mall 205 thing. See you guys there.
  19. My buddy and I are leaving about 13:00. I'm not sure if you have a common place in the Clackamas area you want to meet, but I live right off of I-205. Let’s pick a place and exact time that everyone can meet up and we'll all leave at the same time. Something like 13:00 at the copper penny (se 92nd and foster) there's an on/off ramp right there. Just an idea. Keep me posted.
  20. I found the place, it's called outback automotive and he can't help me. I'll keep checking around to other subaru shops. Let me know if anyone has any ideas of where to go in the portland area.
  21. I need to have someone finish up my wiring on my ej swap and I heard that there's a shop is beaverton that might be able to help. Does anyone know the name, location or phone number of this place?
  22. It doesn't look like my ej swap hatch will be making it to the show. I'll just have to get the RAT ready. (new axles & brakes). At least I can do that (no wiring necessary). I just want to go on the record saying that I hate wiring more than anything in the world. Enough said about that. At least I can beat the hell out of my car now (the RAT). See everyone friday. Also let me know if anyone has any cut vinyl request and I'll bring them up with me. I just started my own sign and design company. (bandrcom.com) the site is not done yet but at lease you can read the homepage do see what I do. -earl
  23. I swapped out the sensors and the coil pack. No luck. I think it's time to take it to a real subaru shop. This thing is beyond me and everyone I know. I might just push the thing off a cliff.
  24. Well I didn't get it running today. For some reason the spark to the plugs are very sporadic. We think it's the cam positioning sensors or the coil pack. I'm going to the junkyard tomorrow to pick up the parts. First well try the coil pack and if that doesn't work well swap out the sensors. Wish me luck.
