  1. OK, here is the list of people who have pre-registered, if there is a NP by your name, that means that I have no record of you paying, if you have record and I can verify it, I'll mark you as paid, otherwise send a PayPal from the registration web site. There are two that said that they are sending money orders, that is so noted. 2. When I get home I'll work up a list of those who have registered and post it here and on my registration post.
  3. Do you want to bet!!! You are registered, just not paid for yet, your registration number is #2. When are you going to register the rest of your group?
  4. I saw a couple of places on eBay today that have them for around $30 shipped to your door.
  5. Not unless you have a RHD car, the twin turbo just will not fit into a LHD car without MAJOR rework of the turbo system.
  6. If there are 50 people from this board who are coming, why do I only have 32 people registered, and that includes people fron the NASIOC board? Remember, pre-registration closes on 8/10/2006.
  7. Excuse me, but what do you think an EA82T is? If there are XT Turbos, they will have an EA82T, but no where on the engine does it says 'EA82T', only 'EA82'.
  8. There are several places out there that sell a 'manual boost control', look it up on Google and see what comes up.
  9. Yes, actually I use all the shims off the 3.90 and just swap the ring gear to the LSD unit. I've never had trouble with the lash since I'm using that same ring and pinion gear set. I have prussian bluing and know how to set that lash, but have never had to.
  10. To answer your question, the parts that got damage are the same as the EJ22. Most people who ungrade from an EJ18 to an EJ22 swap the intakes for the conversion, so we know the intakes interchange.
  11. While a larger turbo may create more power, it also creates more turbo lag, so unless you are using it for drag racing, you will probably be disappointed. there is a way to get more horse power with very little mods, and that is to increase the boost. Most Subaru turbos are running between 11psi and 15psi, an increase to 18psi will be noticeable and still keep the reliability, you can go higher, but the reliablity drops in doing that. Getting a USDM WRX to 290hp (at the engine) isn't hard to do with far less the $4000. Jusdt read your reply, that's even better, the 2.5 will take the boost increase better then the 2.0.
  12. I've been running a JDM EJ20G for over two years now, no problems (knock on wood), I didn't even replace any seals when I installed it. I have no experience with a JDM EJ25 DOHC, but since it is basically the same as the USDM engine, I would assume that is has the same problems. Like the old adage states, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, it would probably be worth your time to replace the head gaskets (USDM stuff should be the same) and seals. PS: I was probably lucky with my EJ20G, I know of another that lasted less the 100 miles after installation.
  13. As far as I know, and I have done about 6 of these conversions, the race and bearings are the same. I have never had a problem with any of the conversions.
  14. Yep, that's right, I forgot about that, so there you go, you need to install the EA82 crossmember.
  15. Where did that come from?? Who said anything about a USDM EJ22 Turbo??? The ones from JHOT are JDM EJ20s.
  16. I would think the frame rails are wider on an EJ car, so I would use the EA82 crossmember. But then I don't know of anyone who has tried it, as long as you have it, and the old one is out, stick it up there and see, it couldn't hurt.
  17. Most of the ones from JHOT come with trannies, so there would be no use in using yours, but for the record, I don't think yours would last long with that engine. Oh, and don't get the twin turbo unless you have a RHD car, it won't work in a LHD car without a LOT of work.
  18. Unfortunately, 1st Subaru is no longer run through Auburn Subaru, so Jason is no longer involved with it. If you have Jason's number, he said that he will still try to give the same price breaks and shipping deals he did before. For those who might be curious, 1st Subaru parts is now run out of Renton Subaru (at least I think that's what the guy said last time I ordered from them).
  19. Yes it will fit in your car, yes it will bolt right in. You will probably need a different radiator. You can get the engine and tranny as a unit, but you didn't say what type of tranny you have. Most of these came with an automatic, finding a manual is rare. Since you are on the east coast, shipping might be cheaper for you, but here is a go place to start looking, http://www.jhotimports.com/ .
  20. That's the weekend before WCSS 8. I wouldn't mind doing one of the TSD rallys, but I'm not up to driving all that way twice in less then a week.
  21. OK. I've been dealing with 1st Subaru for a long time, I'll stay with them. Beside they are also local.
  22. in the rear you can use the rotors that you already have, but I believe the rear FWD rotors will work on a 4WD axle.
