  1. I'm sure you were joking, but if you can't tell the difference between the EA82 and a big block V8, you probably shouldn't be thinking of installing anything other then what was meant to be there.
  2. Most of the parts that you see on the tarp are left. Ed's wife was there so I still have a lot of stuff left. There is an analog 86 RX dash guage unit. There is a digit dash, I can't remember if it was from a turbo or not, I think it was. A couple of core rear EA82 axles. And as you can see from the pics, a few composit headlights, some with bulbs, some without.
  3. OK, here are some picture of the garage as it is today.
  4. OK, here are the pictures of the free stuff that I promised. If you see something there you want, you'll have to come and get it soon as all that is left will be going to the recycler. One of the Pugs is gone, the two EA81 series doors are gone, a power steering pump and reservoir is gone, but pretty much everything else is there.
  5. If it is not password protected, start it up, open the e-mail and see who the e-mails are sent to. It is kind of an invasion of privatcy, but if it help to get the laptop back to it's owner, what the heck. I still can believe that someone by now hasn't noticed that their laptop is missing.
  6. There will be a work party in the late fall, I need to move my storage shed. I'll have a pizza feast after the work is done.
  7. WOW, what a good time, plenty of good food, no body walked away hungry. Still have a food and sode left, but it won't last long. Hope everyone who attended will chime in with their experience.
  8. Well, in a little while the fun will begin, I'll post some pictures later of the free stuff that will be available. I'll bet when you see the stuff, you'll wish you would have come.
  9. I'm having sholder surgery on the 1st (Thursday), doubt if I'll have recovered enought by Saturday to make it.
  10. If you get SubieSport magazine, there is a picture of a WRX quad runner.
  11. You know I never really set a time frame, I guess somewhere around noon, no earlier then 10:30 AM (we need time to set up). Food serverd sometime after 1:00 PM. Just a get together. There will be a blue tarp in the back yard, anything one that tarp will be free. The stuff ain't going back into the shed or the garage, anything not taken with be recycled. Corky
  12. Gee, I'm surprized that no one has posted that they were missing one.
  13. If you can find a picture of a RX, you'll see what they look like, externally they are basically the same. I don't think that they have the lower aero kit though.
  14. Of course I do, you are one of the guys who helped put up the garage walls. LOL It is easier just to use board names.
  15. I was thinking about that the other day, "Do I want people to bring anything.", I guess if you wanted to you could bring some potatoe chips, or something similar.
  16. Rich, there were RS Turbos also, but they had the same push button 4WD. There are two of them running around the Puget Sound area, both are black.
  17. Getting closer, 4 more days (3 days and a wake up) until the garage warming party. I've Ed, Turbone (?), Tex & Monica, syphon, and the ShakinPickle so far. Don't know if Ed or Rob are bringing anyone. Don't let these guys walk off with all the goodies. I need to know by Thursday, that's when I'm going to buy the food.
  18. If you look closely, that sketch is a 4 door. I'm hoping that come out with a coupe again, heck I might even think seriuosly about buying a new one then.
  19. Well I guess you really haven't looked at the whole board then, there is a Legacy, a Forester, a Baja, an Outback, and a Tribeca forum, heck they even have an old school forum. I don't know about the other areas, but the NorthWest area accepts just about everyone, regardless of what you drive.
  20. First off, lets look at this from a market prospective. If you reprogrammed chips would you spend your time making these for a large market where they would sell easily, or for a small market where only a few (comparatively speaking) would buy. Now for the big question, are these chips programable, probably not, some of the early version WRX chip sets are not programable. Just because it is a chip set, doesn't mean that it is programable (that it will take a flash). One of the reasons why I left the pre 90's Subarus was that there is just not an aftermarket performance parts supplier available. Yes, you can find a few odds and ends, but if you want a complete package, you'll need to be able to make parts yourself or have them fabricated. Heck, even for my 96 WRX there is no aftermarket performance supplier in the USA, I have to go to Japan for most of my hp parts. I don't think he (Jaxx) said anything wrong or condesending, he was just stating an opinion. Heck you only got two answers, and on that your are ready to condemn the entire NASIOC board? Why???
  21. Probably not, but I know a few of the guys on that board almost as well as I know many here on this board. One thing I have noticed thought is that there seems to be little activity for the Bay area people on that board, and that also seems to work it's way up to the Sacramento (sp?) area too.
  22. Gee, it looks to me that they were trying to help you. Maybe if you took that chip off your sholder before you post, their responses wouldn't appear that bad. Brian, just because people have other things going doesn't make them jurks. You both need to know that there are many here who post on both boards, this one and NASIOC. Maybe if you don't like the responses that you get there, maybe you shouldn't post there.
  23. I never heard of heads getting warped from an engine fire. Now if the engine overheated, and that caused the fire, then yes, I'd check that, otherwise no.
