Hey, I'm at the Guesthouse right now, room 214.
-
Damn you Zap, you'd better not let me know any of your secret projects cause I'll spill the beans for sure now.
-
Maybe.
-
Next project has begun, this one may take a while. Old school guys are going to love this one.
-
Dang, Miles, you still around?? I thought by now you'd be doing hard time in the state big house. jk
-
So, I guess no one from eastern Washington wants to chime in, that is one place that we haven't had a show yet. I'd like to see one in the tri-city area, but I have no idea what is in that area. Like Zap said, someone needs to scout the areas where they live to see what is available. I would like to get a timeframe soon so that I can plan my trip to Scotland around this show and Subiefest.

Last I heard (it's been a few years) was that you were heading to Oregon, Salem or Eugene. What happened there?
-
I see you still have the great self esteem image of yourself. You still living around Sacramento (sp?)?
-
And who are you again???
-
Hi Jerry, you are one of the guys that I missed the most by not being here on the board. I was planning to come your way on the 18th, but then got sellected to support the Olympus Rally that weekend, maybe later.
-
I never lurked, I just flat didn't visit the board. I'm not quite as picky as I used to be, I guess retirement has mellowed me out some.
-
Still driving the 96 WRX STi Type r that I built over 4 years ago. Looking for a new project, waiting for the right car.
-
Well after a long self impossed exile, I have returned. I will drop in from time to time to see what is happening. I'm sure there are still a few people here who remembder me.
-
In view of some recent events, I think it is time that I take a break from this board. There are some who will say good redence, some who will not want me to leave and other who will say, "Who is this guy?" For right now it is only a rest, but if I see that things are getting worst, I probably will not return. For those who wish an ear full of my reasons, PM or e-mail me, I know if I say them here the post will be deleted or doctored in some other way.

For new Subaru trannies that is a great price, and to get the rear diff too, that is amazing. The only thing is, that is probably too high for a lot of the people on this board. Now if I were into 4 wheeling a Legacy or Impreza, then I'd be interested, but right now that's not in my plans. Great find though, I hope it works out.

Oh if it were only that easy, you will need to replace the pedal assembly also. But I wonder why anyone would actually want to do that. With a cable clutch you will have to adjust the cable several times, with a hydraulic clutch you will probably never have to make an adjustment. If I were you, I would keep the hydraulic setup, and just learn more about it. That would be a lot cheaper and less frustrating.

Strange, turbo gaskets are usually thinner and metalic.
-
Yep, but I currently do not have an EJ25 DOHC engine in my inventory, do you?
-
I know that the head gaskets are one of the weak links of the EJ25 DOHCs. I'm wondering if the head gaskets from a turbocharged EJ25 would work on the early DOHC engines. This might cure the head gasket problem.

WRX in snow.....

You know you can get a turbocharged OutBack don't you? If you are worried about clearence, that would be the way to go. -
I helped a board member do this for his car, we used most of the exsisting wiring, we had to add two wires from the engine harness to the ECU, and had to create a wire bundle for the individual coils. Aside from that everything bolted up and worked great. The EJ20G is not as upgradeable as the newer EJ20's that came in the US WRXs. There are some aftermarket stuff there, but remember, for WRXs this engine ended in 1996, so there doesn't seem to be that much for 10 year old plus engines. You can upgrade the turbo and go to a FMIC, but some brackets you'll have to fabricate. You can use all the exsisting wiring if you change the intake and use the coil pack instead of the individual coils. If you can find one, you can use that IC from a 93 to 96 WRX, it will bolt right in place.
