I'd love to vote for Jamie, but what would Courtney think when she comes to do the OverHaul on my Blazer (wishful thinking). And what about Danica , then there is Melissa , and what about Verena (she can sell me tires any day). Lets not forget Angela and Ashley . What the heck is a man to do, maybe invite each of them over and see if they are willing to somehow try to influence my vote.

Anyone have a digital picture of the gang in front of Mt Rainer? I saw several people taking pictures, I forgot my darn camera. It is time to change my screen saver, and that one would be really cool. -

Northwet, I'm sorry we didn't get to meet, Ed said that you could be my brother (heaven help us all ). Glad to see that you got the stuff you needed. We'll probably get a chance to meet at WCSS this summer. -
An open diff doesn't transfer power, in fact it usually takes the power away from the place it needs it most. This is way they created LSD and VLSD diffs. Like Setright stated, the viscous fluid breaks down under abuse rendering it useless. I wonder about the tranny going to FWD if the center diff fails, since this is an AWD tranny, I have this feeling that if the center diff goes, the tranny will be useless. Now it is different with an AWD auto because they have a different system for AWD and there is a fuse that can make the tranny FWD.

That's not too far from a discription of me, except I'm 5'9" and have blond hair, everything else fits. I think Ed when to the yard today while I was up in the mountains with Jarod and the gang, but I haven't been able to get ahold of him since I got back. As for bring you own wheelbarrow, you could try, the least they could say is no. -
Nope, you didn't.

First off, it has an EJ22, not an EJ25 (the EJ25 wasn't the standard engine for the Outback until 97, optional in 96), this was the first year the Subaru offered the Legacy Outback, abd there wasn't much difference between it and the regular Legacy wagon. Per the NADA and Kelly Blue book, it is priced about correctly, but a lot of that depends upon where the car is, there are great diiferences in regional prices. I have a 95 AWD 'L' model wagon that I picked up at an auction for $2300 recently, I check both to Kelly Bule book and NADA after I bought it so I know what they say about the prices. The car sounds pretty good, it doesn't take long to change the rear lock in the hatch, I did it in about ten minutes, if you purchased a new lock, you could take it and your current key top a locksmith, and they could re-key the lock to match your key. I would offer the $3000 as a starting price and go from there. Ask for the maintenance records if he has them, or where he got the car maintained.

I'd Like to say, on my behalf, that it was running when it left here, not well, but it would start. There was a problem with the clutch that kept us from driving it onto the trailer. But now that I know the correct way to bleed those clutches, that shouldn't be a problem. The current owner (and no it didn't change hands again) has a lot of other things going on and hasn't spent too much time working on this car. I have offered my garage, once it is completed, to bring the car back to it's birth place and let me finish the job.

That's a fine piece of work, even if I do say so myself. Yep, I built it.

Yea, I figured that since you had two things going against you, being 17 and Canadian, you needed some help. -
Ross is right, you will need to swap the front wiring harness complete (because that is easier then splicing the wires). I don't know what you are trying to gain by doing this. I'm not sure the trouble is worth the effort.

I'm assuming that you are using the Subaru two carb manifold and that these are 32mm Webers. Everytime I read that someone has twin Webers on their cars I flash back to my Porsche (4 cylinder) with the twin 40mm downdraft two barrel carbs. I'd love to put a similar setup on a Subaru engine just to see how that would work. I love the video thing you did, great for videos, but can see a usefulness to it, but it sure would be fun to see driving from a road level view. Got and pictures of teh engine setup?

I believe the one car with the auto has the least miles, but I can't remember if that was the one that had some parts missing. No, I didn't check the oil. Ed and I might be up there on Sunday, but remember there will be no wheelbarrows on Sunday and Monday. -
Hope you can return them because Mazda doesn't make a car the has a 140mmX4 bolt pattern.

He's talking about the age of your car (79 BRAT) not your age. -
That is too funny, of course their cars are built by Fuji Motorworks, that is their parent company and is part of Fuji Heavy Industies, who also builds parts for Boeing. This is like saying, I'm sorry, but your Chevy is built by GM and there isn't much we can do about that. Yes they are a small company, but so if Mitsubishi (I think Mitsubishi is smaller), they would compare to a BMW or Porsche size car manufacturer if Europe. Wait, you have a Legacy right? I'll bet it is built right here in the good old US of A, does the VIN begin with S or J? If S it is built here, if J it is built in Japan. I'm not sure where the engines come from, maybe that is what they are talking about coming from Fuji Motorworks, but still that is all part of that same family.
