  1. That poor door has had a some kids with bicycles to close to it Sometime this winter its going to have all its imperfections removed.
  2. Going thru Yelm on a Fri afternoon is like being stuck in I-5 traffic at JBLM I've been making the trip from Bonney Lk to Rochester every day for 3mo+, plus the wife occasionally took that route from Lacey to BL if I-5 was messed up. It usually took her just as long if it was Fri and during the commute hrs its horribad. I bypass Yelm by going towards Lk Lawrence and come out on Hwy 507 just outside the town of Rainier. Then its a straight shot to I-5 and Rochester.
  3. This is how you get the headlights... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/120953-projector-lenses-into-glloyale-buckets/ The interior is ok, but the upgrade I'm wanting to do cant happen for a while.
  4. I got my 89 3dr RX for $450 about 6yrs ago. After all that time and I dont know how much $, it looks like this.
  5. The car description and you live in Auburn. I aint dumb ya know
  6. Is this Joe? *n/m, it is. Welcome.....finally We are much friendlier here than that "other" place. I'm telling
  7. Stop at Superior Imports (Richie and his dad) and have Russ do a quicky on it http://www.fixmysuby.com/
  8. Then you should probably stay home, because no place is really safe. Y'all should meet by Krispy Kream at the Mall.
  9. I'm about 15mi south of Oly in Rochester. I should be around Fri, working on stuff for Sat. So if anyone coming south has issues, hit me up.
  10. Exedy/Sachs are good for a DD. ACT should be used when your stage 2 and up. Clutch Masters is another good brand.
  11. I live about 1hr north of Longview and 5min off of I-5. If anyone has problems within a reasonable distance to me, I will help or they can stop by my place to make repairs. The only thing I dont have in my shop is a lift, but I have ramps, jacks, etc. Not to mention a TON of EA/EJ/EG parts. I will be at WCSS, but only for Sat.
  12. The Jeep guys pulled over and let us pass because they did take our advice (I assume) and turned around and went back down. Yes, the jeep guys pulled over in a poor spot, but I dont think they could have done it any where else considering most were stock with clueless drivers. All they did was slow us down really. When you are to stubborn and hard headed to listen to veterans, you break stuff and have to have others recover your rump roast on the trail. I've had to turn back a few times in the past, sometimes you just gotta swallow the pride. Also, crazy story uberoo. Glad no one was hurt.
  13. I was up there for a few hours today, rode along with Jesse and Qman - had a blast, thanks guys. Looks like there was the usual breakage - axles and what not. We took a run up a particular nasty trail and some guys just couldnt take advice and go back. Hope you fixed what broke and made it back down ok.
  14. WCSS is a Subaru pilgrimage that you need to make at least once in your life. Once you have gone to one, you will do anything to make it again. Over the years it has changed, but all things do. There is still strong Old School representation at the show and I believe it will continue that way. I got a lot of comments on my RX at the BNW meet. When I was headed out I was stopped by a guy that wanted to know where I got my headlights. He said he had a 4dr RX and was quite surprised when I told him I made them. I directed him here and to my build thread, so theres still people out there that are new to old gen stuff.
  15. 6 Star, I was there and your dad parked right next to me. He didnt even say hi when we were getting ready to leave And if you think you were in the minority MR Loyale, I think I was one of 5 that was over 50. I didnt bother entering my RX in the show because their Old School category needs a better year breakdown. They actually put all Legacy's in one category And I'm a fan of ALL Subaru's, doesnt matter what gen they are.
  16. Look at the trans where the starter is, there should be a sticker there with numbers. Let us know what you find. Are you running EA or EJ hubs? Need to know that also.
  17. One of these days I'll get the body work done and get a new skin.
  18. Was part of a photo shoot with the gang from Outback Auto about a month ago. Here are the results of my RX.
  19. Turbone

    88 RX

    Looks weird without a wing.
  20. Yeah, it could be a cracked exh manifold. I've split one in half before. Remove the covers and you will be able to tell for sure. I welded mine back up with a brace so it wouldnt happen again. Now its not a issue since my swap.
