Thanks for responding with the clarifications. Its unfortunate that the Z Club made things difficult, but didnt people voice their concerns about this before the show? Did anyone talk to them about it? I understand judging staff was all volunteer, would it have helped if you guys had gave a shout out for help just prior to the S&S? I was a bit surprised that there was only one judge for most Old School classes (dont know about New Gen). I had no clue where our judge was and didnt want to leave my car without talking to him about it. So I couldnt go over to the New Gen S&S because I couldnt see my car. I had saved 3 spots for friends that couldnt show till Sat and when they did get there they ended up camping in the area you opened up Fri night I did end up giving 2 of them to late comers. Noise wasnt any worse than normal on Sat night, but I did hear someone around 1am yell at the top of their lungs......STFU! And who was Cory? The schedule got a little messed up and I ended up missing some of the raffle and was late for the awards. And what was up with the ditty bags? Nothing like years past and there was no dash plaque. I do appreciate all your hard work trying to make things perfect. Some day I hope to participate/help with the show.

I've debated about posting about this and a few other things that bothered me, this will probably rustle some jimmies. I know the organizers work hard and do everything they can to make this a great show and cant always make everyone happy and I'm usually pleased with the entire show. But not this time. They said there would be plenty of room for everything, but there wasnt. The camping area was almost full Fri night and by Sat there wasnt any area that was a "quiet area" any longer. The Show & Shine area was not thought out very well at all. When I saw we were being put on the other side of the fence away from all the other cars I almost pulled out. I got sandwiched in and could barely open my doors to detail my car. I dont think I even saw any of my New Gen buddies come into the Old Gen group to look at the cars. Old Gen Show & Shine area... New Gen Show & Shine area... You make the decision. I never even knew they were unveiling the XV there and didnt know until the awards ceremony and by then it was too late. I didnt get a chance to browse any of the rest of the show because I waited over 2hrs to get my car judged. What I did enjoy, and at every show in the past, was meeting old friends and making new ones. And yes, I'm looking forward to next year.

Three gauges stopped working
Turbone replied to Mykeys Toy's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
That plug reminds me of the one on the digidashes, its for the warning buzzer. Dont think so on this one tho. I dont recall unplugging it, just the 2 round ones and the 3 main ones on the right. So I say put it back together and go for it. If theres a serious issue, we'll fix it at the show. -
You will have to drop the crossmember to get the mount out and back in.

I hate jobs like this :-\ He will be your responsibility and you will have to watch him like a hawk. Because if he screws up he's not the only one getting shafted. Your going to lose money on this deal, no matter what comp you get from it.

Interest in EA82 Whiteline swaybars?
Turbone replied to Caboobaroo's topic in Products for your Subaru
What about bushings? I'm happy running my XT6 swaybars, but I could use new bushings. -
I found you'alls solution for power windows.......

The VF7 is the stock turbo from 85 to 90. You could use the VF11 (92-94 Legacy) but you will need to change flanges I believe. Anything bigger is not recommended, this is from personal experience.

I assume all the parts you need are for a Foz? Might be able to find the centercaps and switch.

I really like my Mitsubishi seats...

Definitely not directed at you, just a comment in general.

As a former business owner that dealt with a global community, I know that you cant please everyone all the time. I know a lot of shop owners and there are some customers that are never happy with any results. Unfortunately the other half of this equation chooses not to say anything in his behalf but some have spoken well of him here, more than those against. I've seen people complain about shops/vendors on Nasioc and you know what? The vendor gets to speak his piece and give his side of the story and 9 out 10 times it was a misunderstanding of things that were needing to be done. NOT miscommunication. Get your work to be done in a written estimate with a completion date. So, please know all sides of a story before jumping on a band wagon and grabbing the pitchforks.

Got some stuff dont today. Still need a few items for the engine....lower rad hose, timing belt cover-left side, mostly misc stuff. The front end parts arent fitting like I hoped because 98 doesnt mesh with 02 stuff. The bumper skin and hood is from a 98 and the headlights and grill are 02. Still deciding on whether to try and find 02 parts now or later. Might be hard to find a black hood for a 02 :-\ The original headlights are pretty messed up. Passenger side is all broken up and both are real foggy. Going to cost about $100+ to replace both.

Well, how many miles did it have on it? You can always pull it and split it open to see what happened, but rebuilding one isnt cheap. When you put a used trans in, its a roll of the dice. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you dont.

GD, do you know of a secret stash of 22T ECU's? Cause they are getting as rare as the engines now. If you use a EJ20 ECU (OBDII) its tuning capabilities are tons more accessible and tuneable than any 22T ECU would ever be. And if you use a access port with it you could run any number of maps.

Yup and he's local to me (Puyallup). Maybe later this year or the beginning of next year I'll be getting a chipped EJ22T ECU from him. I could care less about me messing with the parameters of this ECU, if I want to do that (down the road) I'll get the EJ20G ECU. Theres a good write up LC about making the EJ20G ECU work for a franken engine. http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=37071

Thanks for doing all the leg work on those bushings, I've been trying to find replacements for a while. A little fyi on your zerks - you should have a hole in the bushing so the grease can make it into the inner part, where it usually starts to squeak first.
