I think, when you connect the green plug, the fuel pump should cycle on and off continuesly. This will tell you if the injectors are getting fuel. Well, it will tell you if the filter is getting fuel. Did you change the filter?

heading through WA this week
Turbone replied to Snowman's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Well, you will bypassing the majority of people here in WA. Theres a couple of folks on the Pen, but they havent posted in months. -
Slow down? Seriously, speed is the worst thing for off-roading, at least for our older Soobs. Some of us have divorced transfer cases (Nissan) which allow us to crawl over obsticles instead of having to go at it full throttle. Do a search here and you will find all you want to know about the mod.

Timing Belt Covers - Yay or Nay?
Turbone replied to mrroot's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
My thoughts are if you stay on the road, you dont need them. Off-road, its a good idea to keep them on. Debris is what you need to worry about. -

Alot of it is taxes, but every State is different. For instance, to buy tabs every year for my Harley, I pay double of what it should cost in my area. And its all becasue bikes are allowed to use the HOV lanes on the freeways. -
Happy new soob convert. XT Turbo! Advice?
Turbone replied to mrroot's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Welcome to the Board and great score on the XT Turbo, even if its 2wd. Actually, its faster than a 4wd, for obvious reasons. Hope you got the right waterpump, theres a long shaft and short shaft for turbo's. It depends on the AC, if its dealer installed or factory. -
New gauge install with pics and questions.

Be careful of the plastic oil pressure line. If it rubs on anything or is close to a heat source, you could have a real mees on your hands. If you get some extra $ and time, run copper line for it instead. Nice wagon:headbang: -

I have a few bad ones, but I suggest you use your bad ones for guinea pigs first before asking everyone for thiers. You need to have your cousin maybe fix one or two also. Then I think people will be shipping you so many your cous will be very busy. -
Someone's XT-6 Playing at WCSS 6
Turbone replied to [HTi]Johnson's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
True, he traded it before I could get the funds together. I think his board name was mtfabman, his name is Mike. He ended up trading it for a 86 lifted Hatch. And last year I traded him my Mazda truck for the lifted Hatch. From what he said about the XT6, it was a bear to drive off-road. The hood is to long to see objects in front of the car and you had to stick your head out the window to see where you were going. -
How to properly reset a rear torsion bar on ea81?
Turbone replied to SuperRallyRoo's topic in Off Road
And a kill switch? -
Replace it.

This is what I made for my 6's. Still have room for knees and can open the glove box enough to get things in & out. Both holders are adjustable. Should work on other consoles as well.

Miles, I actually met you after WCSS5 at Zaps place. You were passed out on his lawn in the backyard:lol: I left before you woke up. -

When you take it out to clean, and the gear is "apple-cored", even a replacement will be temp. The problem is in the front diff with the gear that drives the gov. You will be looking for another tranny for a permanent fix. -
He needs to limit his transportation to the 2 wheel pedal variety:rolleyes: Less moving parts.
