West Coast Subaru Show #8 Hat thread
Turbone replied to Turbone's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
No, we talked about it in the flyer thread. The people doing the work on the hats will not do logo's. From the Graphics thread: Ok, I've come up with a little incentive. Whoever comes up with the display for the posters/flyers, etc, will have the opportunity to have it used on the hats I'm trying to get made up. The winner will get a free hat Now your probably thinking that I'm a lazy you know what, but really I just dont have time to try and figure out something. Besides, I think that whatever is used will probably be used for the shirts as well. Does this sound fair? Btw, I cant use anything with the Subaru logo or emblem. Copyright laws -
Where's my two gallons?

Have you looked at the tank? Checked for dents? It could aslo be the float/sending unit in the tank. -
front to rear..different gear ratio??
Turbone replied to mr pink's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Look at the rear diff, theres a silver tag on it. Might be under a bunch of grease. It should say its a 3.7, at least thats what you should be running with the auto tranny. If the ratios are the same, I would say you have some tires that are not of the same size. -

Why? Are you lost? The most I've spent on a hat was $22. That was from a Harley Dealership. Really. The gal at the shop told that the stitching cost $1per 1000stitches. So the less elaborate the better. Also, the more colors, the more it costs. I'm thinking all gold for the color, it stands out well on most background colors. And gold is a little classier than yellow. If we keep things fairly simple, it will cost less. Keep that in mind. That way we can maybe get nicer hats. -

Thats not the point. No business will touch it, they cant afford to have a major car manufacturer breathing down thier necks for copyright infringements. If you want a logo on your merchandise, you will have to buy it from Subaru. Or have it sewn on by a someone that has a embroidery machine at home (hint, hint ) That said, lets keep this thread for the flyers and any hat comments in the "Hat Thread". If someone comes up with a illustration for anything, post it over there. It doesnt have to be in common with the flyers. -

Maybe a wool blend, maybe a choice of a few. Not sure yet. Price is the big factor. But I did get a catalog from the place today. -
Pretty rare. Moosens is the expert on this, I think he was trying to get a lead on the material for doing it. A search came up with this. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=51795&highlight=woody

Most definatly, they cant keep you from having that in a sentence or something similiar to that. Never heard anything from all the shirts from the previous shows, or the name we have for it either. -

EA81T fuel/intake electrical connectors
Turbone replied to Ever Victorious's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
There are paper clip size retainers on each plug in the shape of a U(but square). I take a pocket knife and pull the sides out and stick a peice of wire or something small innetween the plug and wire to keep it from locking in place again. -
So your dumping Patrick and the SB party? Woah, I hope you dont need a lift soon If you do happen to break down, do it someplace they have a big screen TV I dont recommend making that drive straight thru. Take a break in SJ with Brian. Your going to need your wits and driviing skills for the Siskiyous. Good luck, see ya when you get here

Ok, let me rephrase that. The first hat is going to cost $50. Thats just to do the digitizing, the layout and any other graphics. After that it should be just the cost of the hat and a much smaller $ amount for the sewing. I think they might cost around $15-$17, but dont quote me on that yet. This will be something like the mugs that were done. If you want them personalised or not, you will need to put your order in. Its still all in the planning stage, I need to know how many might want one. -
I was thinking about this after the show last year, just for the reasons stated. I'm thinking of getting ballcaps made, with the WCSS logo on the front and your name/screen name on the back. And maybe some other Subaru related stuff embroiderd on it. Altho the tags will probably be free, the ballcaps wont be. I have no prices yet, but just to get the digitizing done, its around $50. Thoughts?

is it poss. to put xt6 in 88 dl wagon
Turbone replied to jimpon's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I guess Adams Brat slipped your mind too :-p The HP rating for the ER27 is 145hp. Probably the most difficult engine to transplant into another Soob. Better off going with the EJ. -

splines on wheel hub stripped ?
Turbone replied to wounded brat's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Actually its a common problem. When the cone washer and flat washer wear out you can no longer get the axle tight in the hub. The only remedy for this is another hub. I dont know about drilling thru both hub and axle, thats alot of metal and its got to be perfectly sttraight. Less hassle to get another hub. -
They are actually in White Center/Burien.

Uh, yeah.

That was a dealer install, but I changed the turbo to one from a EA82T. I told you a while back I had the stock T-fitting for the digi dash guage. The right side head is specific for tubo's, it already has it tapped.
