  1. If this place ever gets close to resembling Nabisco, I'm outta here
  2. Welcome fellow Subaru owner and curmudgeon! I thought I was the only one here, the others wont admit it Hope to see you at the Show
  3. Dont think theres going to be any overnight stays for me, I will come down in the morning and stay as long as possible both days. So I will be able to bring a different car each day.
  4. How old are they? Metal fatigue will happen easily after 20+yrs.
  5. @ Ed. Thats Austin's old wagon of course. It now resides in MI with Noah. I've been stumped tho since you posted it, but it just came to me. It looks like some of the schemes from the ships in Homeworld.
  6. There is only 2 bolts for the motor mounts. The 2 nuts on the bottom of the bellhousing are a PITA, you need a open end wrench or remove the axles (which you need to do anyways. Just remove the PS pump and set it aside, easier that way. The other point to attach a chain to is the pitch stopper brace.
  7. It is different because of the 2 extra cylinders. I think if you put the 2 flywheels together and transpose the marks from the EA82 to the XT6, it should be right then.
  8. Careful you dont give yourself another hernia If I had done all that, I would be flat on my back for a week. Stupid back
  9. Austin, I would look forward to seeing a DVD of HP stuff Maybe we can arrange a little outing before you go east?
  10. Yes, you need to have a new driveline made, or have the existing one made to fit. I think it needs to be shorter.
  11. Those pics just re-inforce the urge to lift a Coupe
  12. I think they drilled holes in it because the cat is plugged. Its all in the gearing
  13. I have stripped out a nut once (on the axle, guys)
  14. You need to pull the disty back out and then set the number one piston at TDC, on the compression stroke. You can put your finger in the hole and feel for the air coming out, that tells you its the compression stroke. Once you have it there and if you havent messed with the spark plug wires, you can set the disty rotor where the number one sparkplug wire is on the cap. This should get you close enough to get it running and then time it.
  15. If I dont have access to a air compressor for my air gun, I usually take my 1/2 drive breaker bar and slip a 3ft long pipe over it. And I hurf down on that sucker as tight as I can, just making sure I line up the hole for the cotter pin. Havent had one loosen up for quite some time now.
  16. I have a 86 GL-10 Turbo Wagon with the pushbutton single range 4wd. Its a good hiway/daily driver car, have never had any problems with the tranny.
  17. The cone washer could be wore out and sometimes the outer washer can be placed back on the axle stub the wrong way. Yes, there is a right and wrong way.
  18. Bring it up to my place, I'll take a look at it.
  19. I think the problem is directly related to the number of Soobs in your area. If there isnt that many around, they have nobody coming in to buy parts. Therefore nobody in the store knows sqaut about the cars. I havent had any problems when I go to a store that handles a large variety of autos. I stay away from Smucks and Autozoned, they are only good for buying oil and accessories. Napa by far is one of the better chain stores, altho a little pricier than most.
  20. I saw the car a month ago over at XT6.net. The owner has done a great job on the car considering what kind of shape it was in when he got it.
  21. Might need to clarify if its a 3 door or a 4 door. They each have different spoilers.
  22. That would be Qman. Good score, can I have your old one?
