Nope. If it was a standard 3 door, then it might fly. Now can I have my tires and lights back? Btw, does my sig fit your page better?

Hey Ryan, glad to see your still around Hang in there, your Soob will come. Whats that old saying? "Good things come to people who wait" But dont pass up any good opportunities either, cause the other old saying is "You snooze, you loose"

Is the car carbed or FI? Either way, get a can of Carb Cleaner. Start the engine, remove the air cleaner/intake plenum, give it some rpm's and spray liberaly down the carb. Almost to the point of stalling it. This might clean out any garbage that got past the fuel filter.

No way. I went to the dark side long ago and I aint going back That was one of my mistakes the other night. Thinking that everything was cool, just sloshing thru the mud without a care  Yeah, right :-\

Ah yes, a solid sheet of Mithril from the bumper back to the x-member and about 18in wide. Didnt keep me from getting high centered last night tho Hmm, should I name it Gimli? Or one of his kin? I've got some time (not much) before the HP starts to get real serious, I'll have it setup better. With my tow strap and come along. This is the original thread from the Marketplace. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=28671 I have the Hatch, he has my old truck.

That would be this one.

Got it home Sat night, drove all the way from PDX with no radio, just the hum of 30in Swampers. Got some work to do on it, mostly minor stuff. But there is one issue I need to deal with ASAP. I took it out last night just down the street from where its been cleared some what. There was a path that the looging truck had made so I followed it back to the end and was turning around to come out. Well, it was probably the worst part of the road and I didnt turn sharp enough and dropped the front end in a deep hole and high centered it at the same time. No traction at all, and you know why? OPEN DIFF I knew it, and shouldnt have even gone back there by myself and with out any recovery gear. Had my cell phone with me(duh) and gave a call to Qman. He was out there pretty quick and had me back on the path in no time. Theres no way this rig is going to follow the HP with it stup like this. But I got her good and dirty

Thats what Trip Permits are for. For the cost of one(or 2) of these, you will have piece of mind and the are usually good for 3 days. Not that nagging doubt about how much the fine will cost you for using plates from another car. Any car bought from a used car dealer should issue a title upon sale of the car, you should not have to wait for it.

Make sure any vacuum lines didnt come loose when you were working on it. Also get a new PCV valve from the dealer, its one thing that most of us overlook.

The closest I've come to it is on I-5. Wow, there goes Longview. Wonder whats there? Its a place nobody stops at cause most can make it from Oly to PDX without refueling. Oh wait, I did stop there once. It was a pee stop, 2mi off of I-5 I finally found a resturaunt -
Might want to check the inside DOJ of the passenger side axle. When the boot breaks they blow grease all over the exhaust.

Darn Pat, wish I knew you were (inadvertently) sticking around there. When I didnt get a call back I just figured you were too tired and in a hurry to get on the road. Then about 6hrs later I got a call from(sleepy) Qman saying you called and left a message. I must have misunderstood what he said, so I didnt call. Oh well, drive safe and see you when you get home bud. -

New guy with Tranny trouble
Turbone replied to CalgarySoob's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
To keep this from happening again, make sure the axle is seated in the hub all the way. And that axle nut needs to be re torqued a few times after driving it. -
How to get 220-230hp from 1.8turbo?
Turbone replied to Tee Koo's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Why are there so many peaks and valleys on that run? On all the other dyno runs that have been posted there are no sharp rises and drops. Is this because it was done on a Dynojet, which has a rep of being unreliable -

1982 GL Coupe with Enkies I owned for a while. Put a 5spd and a Weber on it, it scooted real good. Traded it for my Hatch. 1982 GLF Coupe, my first Soob. 5spd all stock, to many speeding ticks. Then theres my last Coupe, the 84 4wd Turbo. I'm thinking the next Coupe is going to be a little, uh, extreme
