If there isnt one on the other side, same place, then its for making the car fwd. If you do have fuse holders on both sides, then the one on the pass side is for factory fog lights and the the AC.

It could be that the flapper door that allows air to flow from the core isnt opening all the way. I'm having the same problem with my 86 T-Wagon, and havent got it fixed yet

The server is down for maintnance You might get a little more umph if you get a better intake and exhaust. Maybe 2 1/2in on the pipe to a good muffler. Theres a few different setups for the intake, maybe some that have them will chime in.

I had a cover on my 84 T-Coupe, it wasnt from this guy tho. But he does have a good feedback rating.

Gary, thats just a side benefit along with the opportunity to upgrade shocks and struts.. The reason we do the 5 lug conversion on EA82 cars is so we can get a better wheel selection. The only wheels available in sizes larger than 13in are Puegeots, with the 4x140mm bolt pattern. Oh, and welcome to the USMB

Thats a no brainer. Both being stock engines, the XT6 has 145hp compared to the RX @ 111hp.

Rack & Pinion Question...need help ASAP
Turbone replied to TotallyCorupt's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Just start the engine after pouring in the PS fluid. After you get a half bottle in, turn the steering wheel to both stops a couple times. Repeat as necessary. -

Thanksgiving Weekend Projects

Replacing the front bumper, right headlight bucket and hood on my XT6. I have decided that replacing the bumper was a bad bad bad idea. I have a bra for it and should have used it, but it was slightly hit on the right side and was pushed up and in. This caused the right light bucket to not operate all the way open, which pointed the light at the ground in front of the car. If anyone ever thinks of doing this to thier XT, I suggest a big dose of patience and time. I wont get into the gruesome details, unless you plan on doing it (PM me). But lets just say it almost requires a full disassembly of the front of the car. That, and putting the studs on the T-Wagon for the Xmas tree run tomorrow. And the RX sits, still :-\ Waiting for $$ to do a legit transplant. Oh, and relax some playing with the puppy -
Photoshoped something I was thinking of.

Please Control your self. Brian, I think its pretty mundane. Put a hood scoop on it It would look neat with black skirting and wing. -
What might have happened was you lost some prime in one of the hyd lifters. Give it some time and see if it quits ticking. As for the low oil pressure, its quite common for the pressure to drop to almost zero on the analog gauges. But it does depend on the oil pump on how high it will get. If you can handle the hassle of removing the pump again, I would do it just to check the seals.

Annual Xmas tree run-this Saturday! WHO'S IN?
Turbone replied to Qman's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Got you covered on the permit Galen, and Mike too if you want one. That means I will have 2 left. If you dont make it up there this Saturday, I will still sell them to anyone that wants one. -
will this tranny swap work?
Turbone replied to snowstormer's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
The swap will work, but its very labor intensive. If you have the donar car get the clutch pedal and cable(or whole box), the strut rod caps (the plates that the stab bar from lower A-Arm bolts to on the body), the tranny mount and all the linkage. If you swap to a 4wd, you need the complete rear driveline and suspension, along with the front suspension. EA81 axles are the same except for the diameter. 4wd axles are thicker. -
Lets all look at the Rotary RX...(56K die!)

This is what a nice one looks like, in a Maz..... -
You might try Ebay or do a Google search. I think most of us that get a cover usually go for the rug.

xt6 pulsating, and very low, to no idle
Turbone replied to archemitis's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I went out with a flashlight and looked right after his post. Its the only one there, not hard to see at all. I will pull it off and inspect everything tomorrow. I still need to finish that @#$% front bumper, headlight bucket, and hood replacement. -
So the tire still isnt hanging with posi camber, its still neg? Something just isnt right here.........

Turbone replied to archemitis's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Where is the sensor located? I havent got my FSM from my Ebay win yet, so I not real familiar with my XT6 yet. And mine has been dieing when its warm and coasting. It dies, you turn the key off then back on, and it starts agian with no problem. Sometimes when you come to a stop, the idle drops way down and wants to die then too. Pump the gas a little and it stops doing it. But I tell you what I am getting real familiar with. My original front bumper is a little rough, so I got one from the PAP. It was easy in the yard, most of it was already disconnected by somebody else But I tell you what, this thing is the biggest PITA I have ever dealt with on a Soob. The bolts on the side skirt are darn near impossible to get to. Sorry for the HJ, had to rant :-\ -
Any idea which yr/model this soob is? (pic)
Turbone replied to Skipper47's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Cant seem to find the one with your Mom leaning against it either. It does look like a FF1 tho. -
My wife was looking thru a box of about 1000 pics and came across a couple of my first Soob. Got it in 92 or 93 from a local dealership (Ford & Mazda). Kept it for 3yrs until I needed a truck for work. The only problem I ever had with it was a stripped out hub spline. And 2 speeding tickets 82 GLF, 5spd, PW and black

My old EA81T ran fine on regular, I think thats 89? Make sure you have the timing set accurately. Might check the gap on the sparkplugs also.
